Back to Riding!
Finally... I have been fighting some crazy hybrid flu for 2 weeks! I got back on my bike sunday and am starting to feel pretty normal again. Dennis McCoy was in town over the weekend. It was cool to have someone to ride with for a little bit. Good session.
It is starting to get nice out lately. Had a 57 degree day yesterday so I went and got my motorcycle and rode it for a bit. That felt really good!
Just built up a new bike this last week while I was still sick. Didn't change too much, just a few little parts. Ended up dropping over a pound! I am down to 24.3 lbs. now. I am stoked though. I was wanting a bike a little lighter in certain spots and now I have it. Going to ride this afternoon and see how it feels.
Guess thats about it for now. Wish for summer!
See ya'

Winter Time!
Well it's cold outside, no hold on it's warm out! This is an example of PA weather. It's 15 out today and 50 tomorrow! Needless to say I have gotten sick due to this. I rarely get sick, and never enough to keep me off my bike. I did this time and its been nearly a week now and I'm not good yet! So since I have been sitting around the house for 6 days straight with nothing to do I posted some pics on my profile. I built up a new bike as well and put the pics of that up. Leave comments, give me something to read! See ya'

Long time!
Wow sorry for the giant gap in writing something in here! I have been pretty busy and just haven't been keeping on top of it. Between the holidays and riding I have kept pretty busy. Figured I would post something today. Took a pretty good slam on saturday riding vert and have managed to get the flu over the weekend! Needless to say I am not feeling the greatest today. I did build up a new bike, I'll post some new pics once I shoot some. Other than that, just been riding a lot trying to learn new stuff. I did post some older video on vital videos section. Used an older camera, but the riding is decent. Let me know what you think. I think thats all I have for now.

Times a'changing
So I have been riding for 2 days straight now. Feeling pretty good, not back fully but pretty good considering I have been off my bike for over a month. It's a little weird not riding for so long after riding every day during the season. It's an adjustment that comes with the territory, and so I have been adjusting quite a bit lately.
Then...
I have had a pretty good schedule going at where I work to allow for alot of riding time. So I had yesterday off as usual and got up this am to get ready for my "monday". My boss calls me just as I am making breakfast and says "I got too many guys and I need to cut back, I'm going to have to let you go, but it was really great knowing you and there are plenty of jobs out there. You will be just fine". LOL! What!? Are you kidding me? Ok well I can't do a thing about it so I go to camp and ride. Have a good session with everyone work on some new stuff, pretty good day.
Now that I am home and officially unemployed...
So the whole jist of what I am trying to get at is working sucks!, ok no thats not it. Trying to make it as a true professional in this game they call bmx is difficult...very difficult. You must be willing to pretty much give up everything and then give up some more, and maybe never get a thing in return. So don't expect anything. ride because you truly enjoy it, and don't forget to live a bit in the process.

Season Changes
Well I am finally starting to ride a little bit. It has been about a month and I am starting to feel well enough to ride. This is the second time this year I have broken ribs and they were back to back! Went and put some new parts on the bike, make it a bit different and fresh for the winter time sessions. Guess thats about it really for now. See ya'

Slowing Down
Well contests are over for me this year. I didn't make it quite as far as I had liked, but I learned a lot in the process. I rode really hard all winter long since the day I moved out to State College. Since I still work a regular job I took a lot of time off for contests and other bike related stuff this summer. So I am working on getting myself back into working alot and not so much traveling. I bought a new moto and have been having fun with that in the last few weeks of nice weather. I have been riding a decent amount, but have definately slowed down a bit and adjusting to all the changes that have occurred to me this year. Needless to say life is good and I am looking forward to the winter!

Growing up?
I just got back to State about a week ago. Been home in WI for a week. Some of you may have known I have been engaged for a bit. Well I got married. It was an amazing time. Got to see a bunch of friends and had some really good times. SO now it is time to start riding again. Been off my bike for nearly 3 weeks.

Set Back
Well I guess its about time to write something. I have been hurt for about 3 weeks now. I hung up on vert a week before portland, and crashed pretty hard. My chest was hurting alot but it seemed tolerable. I got back from portland and went back to work and it just kept hurting more and more. Ends up i cracked some ribs. I took the last 2 or so weeks off from riding to heal up, but still worked so healing has been a bit of a struggle. Rode a couple nights this week, just kinda' feeling everything out again. So anywayz, I worked on some new stuff, just little things staying close to the ground, but Iam feeling pretty good so far. Not healed up completely but another week or two and I should be back fully. See Ya'

Back in PA
Got back from Portland for the 3rd stop of the dew tour. I seem to following a trend of coming in at 18th place every go! I rode pretty well. Kept it pretty chill my first run and planned on doing some good stuff in the second. I did a bunch of turndown flairs I was pretty stoked on in practice and fired a pretty sketchy one out in my first run! I did a really nice whip in the second run and a bunch of good back to back varis, but crashed a double whip near the end. Took my first runs score which was good enough for 18th. LOL! So anywayz, the ramp was good, I had a fun time watching one of the best dirt comps I have ever seen and hanging out with new friends. Go Ride!

On the Road and In the Air
This has been a crazy last week. i just got back from WI a little over a week ago. Went straight to work the next day and started riding. I had a bad case of brucitis on my elbow, so riding has been tough. I rode over the weekend and was starting to feel really good, then I hung up just slightly on vert and bruised a few ribs! So I took Friday off and rode a little sat. Rode a bit yeserday and today. I am am hurting bad now, but I rode. I leave for Portland Dew Stop #3 wednesday. I am and at the same time am not looking forward to the trip. Flight is going to be a little long and traveling alone isn't the best of times, but I am getting to go ride my bike! Thats pretty much it for now. I will update you when I get back.
Go Ride!

Dew Tour #2 Cleveland
Well it's been a week or more since the second stop of the dew tour in Cleveland, OH. The ramp was amazing and I really had a good time riding it. Unfortunately the judges disagreed! Somehow I managed to not make it through OQ. So being as I didn't qualify in Cleveland, I left early and went to Lake Owen Camp in WI to hang out for awhile. It was good to go back. I had not been back to camp since I had moved out to Woodward a year ago. It was a good time, did some chilling on the lake and rode alot with the kids. We had some seriously fun sessions of BIKE! I am back on my way to PA now. I guess we will see what the rest of the year has in store for me. Contests may be out for 2007, but riding and having fun isn't! See ya'

Dew Tour #1 Baltimore
Just got back in town from the first stop of the Dew Tour in Baltimore, MD. OQ's were on wednesday. It was super windy, but the ramp was fun and we rode. I qualified first out of my heat. The second heat went and Mcann and Zak Warden knocked me down to 3rd with some big airs and original tricks. Thursday was scheduled prelims which ended up getting canceled due to wind. I practiced for awhile but we never did prelims. Friday wass scheduled for prelims again, but all day we were in hurry up and wait for the sched to come thru. Never happened until late at night. Ended up getting rescheduled for saturday night with no prelims. We went straight to a 20 man final! Saturday came and by this time I was pretty much sick of practicing and then not competing, I just wanted to come home and ride my home ramp. Finals came and they did 2 heats, new guys vs. Veterans!!! New guys went first, I tried some new tricks in my first run to get the jitters out. Wrecked a large ally whip 3rd wall, completely destroyed my front wheel. Borrowed a front wheel and got back just in time for my second run. Dropped in wheel seemed to pull me to one side a bit. I made it thru doing pretty low airs and barely wrecking a dbl. whip at the buzzer. Needless to say I ended up in 18th out of 20. Not very good at all considering a 1st and then 3rd coming in from the OQ. Cleveland is in a month so I will be a bit more prepared for that. Come check it out if you get a chance.
See Ya'

Wrecked!!!
Wow! I went to camp to ride monday night. It had snowed for a couple hours earlier and then rained and snowed some more. I wasn't gonna go, but I had'nt ridden over the weekend so I decide I would go. Driving there wasn't too bad, just had to go slow. I get done riding and take off. I am coming up a hill not more than a mile from camp and all of the sudden hit some slush that pulls me off the road a bit. I get back to what I thought was the road, and then I get thrown again, but this time I lose it. I slide for a few 100 feet into the ditch doing a 360 on the way when my bumper hits the bank of the ditch spins me around once more and flips me on the drivers side of my jeep. I am tripping about right now. I have never really wrecked a vehicle and at the moment I have a backpack, tools, random stuff you leave in your car falling into my lap! The jeep is still running, my hazards are on and I am dazed. I shut the Jeep off, unbuckle, throw the stuff off me and start to climb out above through my passenger door. Once I am out I still can't believe this just happened. Cars start slowing down a couple minutes later and a guy picks me up. he takes me like 200 yards to a neighbor. I tell him what happened and that I have a tow strap in the jeep if he has a truck that can flip me back over. Long story short this guy hooks up and pulls my jeep back on all 4. I wait a few minutes, looking over the damage then start it up. It starts smokes a bit. I say thankyou to everyone like a million times and I drive home with my driverside window flapping violently in the wind and no music on. Just thinking and trying to grasp what had just happened. End result. I drove to work the next day and rode tonight. The Jeep is fine minus a busted zipper on my window and a cracked mirror. Whatever!!! If you plan on flipping a vehicle on anything other than its tires do it in a jeep! You will walk, no drive away like it almost never happened!

Session Ended!
I went to camp to sessio a bit friday night. Al Dimino who rides for Dan's whom I had never met was going to be there and I wanted to meet him and ride a little. We had a good session, I screwed around in lot 8 riding park not doing much. I was starting to wrap it up a bit after a couple hour sess. when we started messing around on the mini vert half pipe. This ramp is fun, its really quick. I was having a good session on it and thought I would maybe flair the ramp itself. I never do ANY tricks on this thing because it isn't very wide and you are better off to just toss stuff on the resi. Well I flair it knew I was carving too much... pull out to make up for it, land flat....no biggie just slide out and everything will be fine, nope I slide face first into the resi. The resi pushed my helmet up tearing my neck up a bit then ripping my lip open and my lower gum. What!!! how did all this happen? Anywayz, my lip is already unnoticable and my gum still hurts like hell but it is all good. Lesson learned: don't do shit you know you shouldn't on ramps you know you shouldn't!!! Go Ride! -

Winter Time Sess
Well it has finally gotten cold and stayed cold here for the past few weeks. I have realized it is much easier back home to just have it be freezing for 7 months straight, you get used to it! Here it has been so nice up until a couple weeks back and I am cold all the time!!! Anywayz, winter is good, I like riding during the winter months. It seems to slow everyone down a little. I think more about different stuff that maybe I wouldn't normally work on when I ride during the cold months. It's good. I sometimes won't work on something for very long, like I am in a rush to grab a bunch of different tricks quick. Lately I seem to be into just working on something that I really want to be able to do. It is cold outside and I just want to learn something and get it dialed.

Holiday Recovery
So if any of you are like me you are glad for the holidays to be over. I went back home for about a week and a half and it was super good. I didn't take my bike home though. So today I rode for the first time since and I am really stoked to be getting back to my "normal" routine! Go ride!!!
