Added reply in a thread my antigram skips out the box 2/24/2015 2:52 PM

My antigram ghost pedaled out of the box as well. It just takes awhile for the springs to break in. What I did to fix it was bend the spring a little to make them softer since they are super stiff out of the box. Now it's fine.

You need original content. Reposting stuff from TCU isn't going to get your site more visitors. Make some original edits or at least post stuff that no one will find easily on TCU, ridebmx or vital's pages. You can't compete with those sites so don't ... more »

Added reply in a thread what crank is this.. 2/16/2015 6:55 PM

Measure the inner diameter of the bearing with a ruler. 19mm is about 0.75" 22m is about 0.866" and 24mm is about 0.95" Whatever inner diameter you measure is what you'll need.

Added reply in a thread Need help for getting new parts !! 2/14/2015 2:53 PM

I'm your height and I run 9.2 ride bars with a top load and it feels really nice. I'd get something similar if you don't want to be too hunched over

Added reply in a thread Hub stuff. 2/12/2015 9:33 PM

GSport/Odyssey has had a RHD/LHD system for awhile. This sds thing from Eclat seems like its reinventing the wheel. I don't understand what's so great about it.

Added reply in a thread Odyssey antigram rear hub any good? 2/8/2015 3:16 PM

Mine works just fine; it hasn't skipped so far and the engagement is good. The driver might be a problem though because it uses one of those stupid needle bearings. Mine has held up so far but I have been keeping an eye on it. I'd recommend getting this ... more »

Added reply in a thread Tire Review Compilation Thread 2/7/2015 9:15 AM

Odyssey Ross (first gen not the newer ones): Terrible front tire, has horrible grip and will slip out on you in tight corners. It's an ok back tire but I would not trust it in the front. The damn thing slipped out on me too many times so I gave up on ... more »

Added reply in a thread no top cap on stem? 2/6/2015 5:50 PM

This. Your headset will only get loose if you didn't tighten your stem right. Having things setup this way works just fine.

Added reply in a thread Odyssey antigram rear hub any good? 2/6/2015 8:48 AM

I've been running one since last april-may and it has been great. Light and strong. I also run the Tree bolt on my non-peg side to save a little weight. You can get an antigram cassette super cheap on eBay (I got mine for $99 new I think).

Added reply in a thread tripod seats whats the deal? 1/31/2015 11:16 AM

Part of the reason why the tripod seat concept was invented is because to use the pivotal design you have to pay MacNeil royalties.

Aluminum nipple are not worth the loss in strength. Those stupid things strip too easily. Stick with brass.

Added reply in a thread Cassettes vs. Freecoasters 1/29/2015 9:34 AM

Just because you don't have to backpedal when going fakie with a freecoaster doesn't mean that it's easier to ride than a cassette. Freecoasters are great and can make riding super fun, that's my take on it.

Added reply in a thread New crank set!! wich? 1/28/2015 5:45 PM

I'd recommend thunderbolts. I've been running twombolts since 2012 and they're still running strong. The thunders are the updated version. I'd also consider trying out the socket drive and getting a new sprocket.

Added reply in a thread Which U brake set to get? 1/26/2015 8:49 PM

Demolition Vulcan V2. Sealed bearing pivots, CNC machined and Nyquist runs them which says alot. The Tektro FX950s look good too. Brakes with sealed bearing pivots are definitely worth it.

I have them on my bermuda. They do their job and keep my wheel in line. I like them mostly because they make setting chain tension really easy.

Odyssey Antigram. I have one and it's great.

Caustic soda crystals are sodium hydroxide whice is a base, not an acid. Also you can add some vinegar to the solution before disposing of it to neutralize the base. Good write up but people really need to be careful when doing this since the base is ... more »
