About Me
Hey all !! I'm a 26 year old girl (who grew up in an old fashioned town) who is new to Freestyle. I just picked it up a little while ago and I am still getting use to the bike. -------- I've always been athletic. I run 3.5 miles a day or more, lift heavy weights (5 days a week), and my dad trains me with kickboxing and "street" fighting since I was about 9 years old. So, naturally when I picked up the bike I thought it was going to be MUCH easier than it is. =) I like the challenge, but wish there were other people in my area to "play" with. -------- Finding this site is a blessing! I'm constantly harassed for being a girl who should do "girlie things". I love to dress up and look great, but I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty either...or my face once and a while =)! And now, of course, I'm scolded for being too old and sometimes I even get the dirty look for having a little muscle...after all...girls are supposed to be "skinny" and "weak"...NOT toned and strong...blah blah blah! --------- So...if there are any other girls out there...do what you want, girl !!! You like mechanics, bikes, running, lifting???...All the more power to ya girl!!! ...And the girls and men who diss ya for it... play harder! ...Yeah, it tends to piss 'em off, but who cares, girl! I'll be mad at you ladies who quit, because other girls tell you that you have too...no you don't!! ---------- And for the boys who support our "bad" behavior...I love ya!! Thanks for the support, men!!

View All Blog Entries- Still Kickin'
- I'm still kicking after all this time with my arm. Saw the surgeon today and he said I still have a LONG ways to go, but it is starting to heal. YAY!!
Can't wait until I'm out there kicking up the dust again!! He said once my arm does heal (and it still has a long ways to go) that it will be a minimum of 6 months before I can really start lifting again.
I've decided that roller blading is too expensive! LOL I know that time will be over before I know it and I will be back at training.
Keep kickin' up the dust girls and guys! If not for you...in honor of me.
- Injury and death
- I am very bored lately...I have been off for 5 weeks, because I broke my arm roller blading. I'm just sitting around getting fat. As soon as I am back on my feet I will have to train harder than ever...if that is possible (I already trained super hard).
No results with the bone...it will not heal. For those of you that pray... will you say a little prayer for me.
Death
My dad's baby brother just died and it has been hard on all of us. If you can say a prayer for my family I would appreciate that too..Thank you! - 4 the girlz

- No Need 4 Speed
Hello, everyone!!
My dad and I work hand-in-hand...he teaches me to fight and I am training him with running. I preach to him over and over...if you have to... SLOW down! There is nothing wrong with slowing your pace...it's the point that you are doing it.
I use to run 3.5 miles a day and it took me 25 minutes. Well...I tore my hamstring and was off for a year. Now..it takes me 45 minutes, but it took me a long time to be able to run a mile...but determination kept me going....everyday I went running. There were days I got frustrated, but I kept at it.
That is what I wish for everybody...patience for themselves...Be patient with yourself in whatever you do...you will get there!!
I know that it is hard...I'm in the same situation. Right now I am concentrating on distance, but I will get my speed up ...and so will everyone else. Be patient and slow down if you have to...no one is going to take a horse whip to you and you will get there!!
Good luck and keep going!!

Sucks about the no healing bone. Is surgery an option or are you trying to avoid that?

Since you're in Jackson, have you been to the Adrian, MI or Tecumseh, MI parks? Both allow bikes, and the Tecumseh one is free to get into. Not too far of a drive for you either.

yep... your awesome. Wish I could motivate my girl to get on her comfort series bike and join me. She is preoccupied with bong hits and bad reality TV. However, you have inspired my to start running... again. Thanks!
