Did all that long long ago. The problem was the hub was a piece of shit, not that it was dirty or anything else. You shouldn't have to modify something that expensive to get it to work properly. Sold that wheel about when I reviewed the hub and got hooked up with a Primo Mix/Balance setup...problem free, even with 12 less spokes.
