    Been Busy!

    LG Championship!

    Just got back from the LG World Championship of BMX, what a great time I had. All the time I was there I saw a hotel and a competition arena, sounds like the trip of a lifetime eh? God bless room service and the internet!

    On Friday night after the BMX park prelims Kanye West performed a live show, now I had listened to Kanye before and I thought some of his music was good, but his live show was the most amazing show I have ever been to. With him he had a whole array of musicians, backing singers and a DJ as his orchestra, they were amazing and he proceeded to belt out all the great Kanye hits, with the amazing lighting effects he really put on a show.

    BMX prelims was supposed to be on Saturday afternoon, but a sound check, a half asleep MC and a riders meeting put paid to that, show over, straight to finals on sunday. Mega!

    I can’t tell you anything about the Ludacris concert as I was sleeping, early night for me. Over it!

    So the final, for some odd reason I was drawn in third for prelims but come the final I was drawn in second, Ooh! Drama! No not really, but I was the only person moved. Sweet!

    About ten minutes before I left the hotel I had some strange notion to buy a song from i-tunes, and Fugazi made a difference. With everyone having a decent first run I wanted to keep the good riding coming and I put down my best run of the year, started out big and then hit a combo which I had never done before Tailwhip air one side straight into a Flairwhip the other, STOKED! After that I just kept them coming, Alley oop whip and an Invert 540 saw me finish off with a Fast plant flair. I don’t say this very often but I was proud of what I had just put down on that ramp. 1st place! And 4th LG World Championship Title.

    My good friend Steve MCcann did the biggest Barspin to Whip I have ever seen, and Zach Warden landed the Bikeflip! Nice one fellas!

    Taking the LG World Championships has been an amazing end to a fantastic year, a big shout out to all my sponsors, family and friends, and all the guys I ride Woodward Camp with each day.

    Salt and Water, Roadtrip!

    Wow!

    What a trip it has been, firstly i went to the AST Dewtour in Salt Lake City in Utah, The biggest crowds i have seen all season and the riding again was off the charts! Another great weekend for me on the vert ramp and i had a fun time in the Commentary booth, hey it was'nt exactly hard screaming like a child when Scotty Cranmer unleashed the Frontflip whip! and what about Ryan Guettler the best i have seen him ride all year.

    I had to go up to San Francisco for a few days on behalf of LEVIS as they wanted me to be a part of a special event at the Ramp Rats Skatepark, a crew from Canada calling themselves THE BURIED LIFE were at the skatepark, these guys have drawn up a list of 100 things to do before they die and learning how to fly on a BMX was #7, also a big fan of mine Jonathan Lee was at the park and he wanted me to teach him how to Tailwhip.
    Well, i managed to get Ben from the Buried Life crew flying on a bike but Jonathan could'nt quite manage the Tailwhip, but he was so close to pulling it that it will be a matter of time for him.
    Also as a bonus we got Buried life member Dave to do a backflip into the Foampit 3rd try! so that was a result.

    The Next day i was taken to LEVIS HQ were i was told the news that LEVIS will be back next year bigger and better! yeah boy! stoked about that news!

    Well just wanted to thank Mike Kranich at Ramp Rats and all the Guys who Showed up, i had a great time with everyone.

    The Guys from the Buried Life, if they are in a city near you go check them out and give them your support.
    And a big thanks to everyone at LEVIS, you guys rule!

    Been a traveling!

    Well it's been a while since my last blog entry, i have been traveling around for the last 3 months, from England to Pennsylvania to California and back again.


    Just got back from the Levi Straus roacd trip and that was a blast, also rode in the Grind for life demo at Claremont, which was great fun and for a good cause.

    Back on teh road again at the minute, but i will have some new updates and photos to put on my page.

    Epic day at Epic

    Had a good session at Epic yesterday, the park was packed and Roey was 2 hours late as usual.


    Looks like the Derby Crew will be travelling up to Leeds on New Years Eve, for a quick session at The Works, then its the party of the century at the HOUSE OF MUTINY, fancy dress only, the theme, the sea, Ahoy there matey!!

    I am off to get my costume, go ride your bike. Now!

    Deja Vu

    Blimey,


     it only seems like 5 minutes since i was last sat in this airport writing a blog, but what a difference a week can make, well the car crash sucked, whiplash and headaches for a few days, my chest does not hurt anymore, thank god, Povah was bummed, his honda civic got smashed beyond repair.

    It's a bit chilly out at woodward these days, time for some indoor sessions or move to Austrailia with Steve Mccann, yep just dropped him off today so he is off to have fun in the sun as it's their summer time, bummer eh!

    The Arbys Awards, were a bit disappointing, nobody had prepared any kind of a speech, loads of f-bombs thrown out during speeches, Jackass boys, well i could not understand the relevance of them boys being there, by the way Bam was not there just Steve-O trying to kill himself, and a bunch of celebs like Paris Hilton, Dennis Rodman and Pam Anderson, John Povah(etnies tm) got very excited when he saw one of Pam's boobs pop out.
    Unfortunately Keith Mulligan was not around to get a sequence for povah, maybe next time, yeah right.

    Well Jamiebestwick.com should be up and running in the next couple of weeks, hurray only took me a decade to get the Name.

    And now i am off back to england for christmas,

    Car crash

    as i am writing this i am laying down on a bed at woodward west, my face hurts, neck is sore and my chest is killing me, to rewind this whole thing

    i have just been involved in my first head on collision, myself and john povah had just been to tahachapi to eat and get some supplies, we were driving through stallion springs and some old guy in a car just turned in to us as we were going straight down the road, the guy did'nt even look were he was going just turned his car without a care in the world, then bang, myself and povah got slammed into the dash and the airbags smashed us in the face, i thought i had broke my ribs but they for now are just sore, povah is in some pain with his neck and has a big lump on his head, i can't beleive it, the stupid old idiot this guy did not give a shit he did'nt even ask if we were ok, he by the way is fine, the guy actually thought it was our fault but luckily for us there was a cop right there and he watched the whole thing go down, i can't believe this just happened, i am bummed for povah and his car but i am thankfull we are both sore but ok

    Silly Philly

    Guess what i am stuck in Philly again for 6 hours, blimey is it just me or is this a crappy airport, everyone is so bummed to be working here, its like they are all zombies, oh well


    Anyhow, i am off to the Arby's Awards in LA, so that should be a good night
    Then for another bout of filming with Manzoori for the Etnies vid, and then back to woodworld.

    Hope everyone had a great thanks giving, Santa's on his way kiddies.

    Fat Wrestler Break his seat!

    So anyhow that big fat WWF wrestler Called THE BIG SHOW was on my flight giving it the big un and all that with the English ladies, the smarmy git


    Anyhow, ends up Fat bloke breaks his own seat in first class, because he's so big the seat could'nt take the strain for 7 hours and exploded.

    Apparently he had a ruptured stomach muscle, and as the flight was over sold
    they had to put him in cargo with the dogs and suitcases.

    OK i made up the bit about his stomach

    I tell ya its all go today, nonstop action!

    Airports really are crap!

    What do you do when you have a 7 hour layover, write a blog update

    absolutelt zero happening in philly, sat in the first class lounge with a bunch of stiffs, sat in the free wifi zone, amazing, its all happening in here!
    i'm sure the bloke across from me is trying to hack into my computer,
    i will smack him in a minute, too many pilots who think that they are the dogs bollox, England drew 1-1 with Holland, not good, can't make up my mind is it chick-fil-a, sbarro or the chinese, probably none
    Well at least my headache has gone, Christmas in 6 weeks!
    Can't you tell i have nothing to do.

    My bike that went on a 9 month holiday via the us postal service has finally showed back up at its point of origin.

    I guess the Lord does work in mysterious ways.
