I finally got to see End Search and it did not let me down! Everyone involved with that video handled their business, that's for sure. Amazing parts all around, by my 3 favorites had to be Will Love, Dave Dillewaard, and Ryan Nyquist. Freaking nuts. I had to leave the crash section alone, though. I hate watching my friends get broke off.

I got an iTunes gift card for my birthday and it's been a slow-go turning it into actual music. Let's just say I get picky when spending money, even when it's a present. I finally bought two things, though. "Common People" from William Shatner (you know it's good) and the album from The Evens. I wasn't too into The Evens until seeing them play in Dallas with Mike Vincent, Brian Tunney, and Mike Ardelean. I'd rate the live show a bit higher than the studio tracks, but it's still a good listen. After all, when Mat Hoffman gives something a thumbs-up, you know it's good.

Just got home from a Phoenix-Vegas road trip. Spots aplenty, and we got to hang out with Smoker Dave who is cancer free. It was a great trip and two things are for sure. First, if you live near the Chandler Bike Park, you are stoked. Second, long live the Hard Rock.

I had to shoot photos at Woodward for a couple days, and the shoot just happened to fall on the launch of the new Vital BMX. I hope you are all into the new look, and thanks for all the feedback that's been coming in. Aaron, our main IT guru is constantly making tweaks, so the site is just going to keep getting better.

As for Woodward, the snow was dumping outside, but the stuff that was going on inside Cloud 9 was just plain stupid. Vert riding in 2008 is flat-out nuts.

I've been watching a ton of videos lately, and the 50/50 video titled "That's It" is the one that blew me away the most. So much great riding, incredible filming and editing, and it shows these guys simply have fun. But what else would you expect from Elf, Mike Aitken, Skier, J, Beringer, and crew. There is one kid in the video named Tate who just may become your new favorite rider... Buy this.

I’m a sucker for new Apple stuff, but today has been a nightmare. Last night I bought a copy of Leopard and somehow it went crazy during install and required a complete system re-install—not psyched. Luckily I had a backup from a few days ago, but getting everything up and playing nice has been beyond lame. Leopard is pretty sick, but make sure you backup everything before you hit that “install” button just to be safe.

Also, the Time Machine backup system in Leopard is pretty nice, but if any of you out there have a system you use for archiving video and photo files, let me know. An online system would be ideal, but with big files, even a cable modem ain’t enough. Got any ideas?

We’ve posted a few different video bike checks with pros over the past few days, but what about your bike? Do you have a dope bike and maybe a few good riding clips on your computer? If so, put together quick video bike check and upload it to the Video Homepage so everyone can check it out. This site is about you as much as it is about the pros, so let’s see what you’ve got.

Just to make sure weird stuff never happens when you're working on your Vital BMX blog, write it in another program where you can save often and then copy and paste it into your blog when you're ready. I don't want you to waste time re-typing anything.

--What part of the world are you in
--What system are you running (Mac, PS, version of system software)
--What browser are you using, and what version?

Much respect to all of the riders in Arizona, New Mexico, and anywhere else where the summer is brutal. NC is hitting tripe digits all week, so I'm almost happy to be glued to this computer. Almost.

I've only been living on the East Coast for two years and I now have every inch of the Washington Dulles airport memorized. I swear I get stuck here for hours every other week. Today is a particularly fun one. After about 19 hours of traveling coming home from China, I get stuck here for 5-1/2 hours trying to get back to NC. Does anyone live near Dulles? Next time I get stuck here for five hours, I've got to get out of the airport to do something before I lose my mind.

The first day of amateurs in Toronto is over and went well. Only one guy really got hurt, and there were quite a few rippers. The highlight for me, though, was the group consisting of the four girl riders. They were seriously going for it. Rose was at the top of the wall ride every time, and Nina did a few things that no one else did all day--including grinding the entire way across the big flat rail. More ams and pro qualifiers today.

The Join Team Haro contest officially wrapped up tonight in Greenville, NC. We are working hard on getting all of the photos and videos ready for your consumption (we have about 16 hours of video and 500 photos to go through). The results will be hitting Vital BMX very soon, so keep checking back, and watch the Haro Contest Photo Album for new photos (more action images should hit on Monday). This contest was amazing—thanks to Haro and all of the riders who participated!

The first day of the Join Team Haro contest is over, and it was amazing. Yesterday a lot of the riders had never met each other, but today they're pretty much good friends. Today we stayed at The Unit all day and people were completely exhausted by dinner time. it's 1:00 am right now and a lot of people are still downstairs at the hotel bar getting loose. Tomorrow is the last full-on riding day of the contest, so things are going to be good. I will be getting photos like crazy, and then the videos from the event should start hitting Vital BMX Sunday night. Thanks to everyone who sent Happy Birthday messages yesterday. I partied hard by driving for 5 hours and seeing my son puke all over the back seat of my car. Party! Happy Birthday to Steve Swope and Alan Foster, too. We all have the same birthday, same year.
