- Chad's Gay Adventure
There's currently a Mike Saavedra and a Mulville interview that we're finishing up for the site. I should have those posted next week, one in the beginning, one in the end. Until then, Degroot sent over this email. I can't stress enough that it's never a dull moment with Chad.
"Jay Miron said if I ever come to Toronto for the Metro Jam he is gonna punch me in the stomach. Maybe cause he is sore that I puked in his van, wow, sorry about that. You don't realize how many little spaces are in your van till puke is sent out of your mouth at the driver. Sorry again. Well, I finally made it to Toronto, not in the winter for metro Jam (to cold for my florida self). This was for my sister-in-laws wedding. See, the US doesn't recognise or support gay marriages. Canada just started to, so where else to have a wedding, Toronto. It just so happened to be a huge gay festival. Someone told me over a million people showed up. Our hotel was one block from all the chaos. The first thing i noticed getting into our hotel was the recycle bin. Canada has serious support for the earth, plus they can make a ton of money off the people who stay in the rooms. The recycle amount is nuts, specially since our bin was full each night with adult beverages. The second thing that is sweet and the US needs to follow, no High Fructose Corn Syrup in anything. If you don't know what that is, figure it out and connect the dots. You don't need that crap, or do you? So we start walking the streets and the first person we see is a girl with big boobs, naked, well it turns out she is a he and wanted to show off the new addition to his body (check the pic). We fit is pretty well seeing as we brought some afro wigs, tight "hell ya" shorts and some accesories. I am not gay, but gay people have way to much fun, it was nuts, literaly. All in all it was an amazing trip, congrats to my sister-in-law for taking the step, and not being afraid of her ways, and thanks to canada for being sweet. If Metro Jam is in Toronto this year I will be there ready for the punch in the gut. That will get me ready for my plunge over the Niagara Falls I have planned late next year...stay tuned"

- a bunch of stolen oleanders
Just got an email from Tony yesterday from the airport in Texas. He's heading out to the UK for an SandM roadtrip and to ride the RedBull Empire of Dirt. If you didn't see the virtual layout, here it is:
Insanity.
Once Tony's back in town, he's heading up to the Belmar Jam in Binghamton and then down to Providence to meet up with Mulville, Saavedra, Conall Keenan, and myself for a little Profile NE trails trip. Providence in the summer?, it couldn't get any bettter.
Profile UK's Levi Rogers had this little web edit floating around youtube. It's not the best quality (but then again youtube sucks that from any video) but the riding is pretty wild. All Bristol, all skatepark, all pirate...
We got the newest issue of Ride UK in the mail yesterday. On top of the loads of wild photos, this full page UGP advert came as a surpise:
Over the weekend, my friend matt and I went and rode this spot below near my house. Across the street is Department store with a bank that has been a normal session spot for us for years. On heading over there after riding the bank to wall below, I laid my camera bag down behind their nursery. I was un-pleasantly suprised when two cops rolled up in their car, jumped out and grabbed me. While restraining me, the other cop went and snatched my bag...to make a long story short, I got harrased by the cops on their assumption that I was "breaking into the nursery." I told them I was thirty one and really had no need for a bunch of stolen oleanders, rose bushes, and decorative palms. Eventually, after making me feel like a complete criminal, they let me go.
I guess it could have been worse.

Have a good afternoon.

So you're back in England for the summer, how's that been going?
It's been good so far. I got back from the states in May and have been trying to make the most of the dry weather.
What have you been riding since you're back in the London area?
I've been riding a local concrete park (Dartford) a fair bit. Its a pretty small park, but theres some good lines in there! Ive been trying to film some stuff in London as well. So i've been heading up there at the weekends.
You said you were excited about getting "home" to ride some trails. Are your local trails still running or did they get ploughed?
Yeah I was pretty excited to get back and ride the trails. I had a few ideas of what I wanted to build since the new line at Casselberry FL ended up being real good. But a few of the jumps/rollers at my local trails have been taken out, and nobody wants them back. So I havent been going down to ride or dig really. My friend Mike (Cottle) from Florida/Pennsylvania has a couple of friends that live over here. Rob someone, and someone else! He says they just ride the trails all day, and drink all night, so im thinking of going to meet up with them!
Whats been going on with LifeCycle?
As far as the park goes, I have been offered the land, but it wont be developed until the start of next year. Its in the S.E London area (Kent), and hopefully if I can get the money together, we might be able to build a park up to 30,000 sq ft. Apart from that, the shirts are going well, so cheers to everyone whos supported that.
What are your plans for the rest of the summer?
Im going to head over to Europe in a week or so which im really excited about. I love European cities in the summer, and the riding scene out there is nice n chill! I might try to get a few people together, like Phil Aller and Connell Keenan, and take off to Eastern Europe maybe! I dunno, we'll figure out something.
Have you sorted out your Visa, and when you going back to the US and A?
Naa, I didnt get my Visa sorted out yet! I have to go up to the American Embassey in London. Its gonna cost me a few hundred quid, so I need to do some work first to get the money together. Ridings been so good recently that I havent wanted to work to get the money for it. I'll get it sorted in time for the winter though!

Whats up Mark,
I have some Shitluck footage of you fucking killing it. You got combos for days, I used to be a box monkey (San Jose Ramp Club) primarily and you throw shit that reminds me of that. Nothing-to-no-foot-can, sick! How can I get some old profile cranks (not the S.S. those welds were shitty for how many pairs I broke, but bomb drops will do that to anything)with the 7/8 spindle, 120+ splines? Do they still make those?
