About Me
Welcome to the Official VITAL space for REDLINE BICYCLES. About four years ago, we made a concerted effort step-up our freestyle frames - picking up Mike "Rooftop" Esamilla and Rich Hirsch. Together, that team came up with the first generation Device; a frame that could match and stand-up to all of the popular garage companies. Now, we are on the fifth generation DEVICE frame - now with the following features:
* All of the braking hardware is fully removable. The tabs, the cable stops, and the brake pivots.
* The new frame also has an offset-butted downtube, meaning there is more material where the gussets used to be. (They look really clean brakeless, if you desire stopping with your feet.)
* All tubing is 100% Sanko chromoly and the entire frame is heat treated after welding. Compare this to other frames which heat treat ONLY the BB shell, Head tube, and dropouts, before welding. This frame is incredibly strong for how light it is.
* The decals now come on a separate sheet. You can put them on the frame or your parent’s station wagon. We'd prefer the frame or your helmet, but will not hold you to it.)
* Also new is the integrated seat post clamp, allowing a lower seat tube extension, the new lighter head tube shape, and the laser cut plate on the seat stays.
* The Sublimated finish is not a paint job. Think of it more like a high-tech temporary tattoo, only permanent. The ink is heat-transferred from specially printed cloth into the powder coated base. The result is a more durable and smoother finish than any paint job. The process is called ‘sublimation’ and is a very expensive and labor intensive process. Also, the photo online is of the first prototype. The end result has a more subtle look to it.
* Some other runs of Device frames are painted.
As you can read, we at REDLINE are still innovating and still introducing some of the best bikes for the bucks. Whether you have $250 or $680 to spend, Redline has a well-spec'd model of bike just for you. Check your local bike shop or go to redlinebicycles.com for more information.

HUCKER & DEF PAUL JOIN REDLINE
Hucker's style of riding is fearless and full of energy - from his learning double backflips in a field all by himself to him trying almost anything you can suggest, while Def Paul is a pure original whose style of riding can only be summed up with one word - unique! Paul is always down to ride different obstacles and could session a curb all day and make it look fun - all with no chain!
Team Redline welcomes Mike "Hucker" Clark and "Def" Paul Bonner to the new Fuzzy-run Freestyle program.
Both of these riders have a very unique style and outlook on life. If you ever get a chance to hang out with either of these riders, you are in for a treat.

REDLINE BICYCLES www.redlinebicycles.com- For the first time in 18 years, FUZZY is riding a different brand of bike.
- TIM "FUZZY" HALL HIRED AS REDLINE's FREESTYLE TEAM MANAGER/RIDER
For the first time in 18 years, freestyle BMX legend TIM “FUZZY” HALL
is preparing to ride a different brand of bike. And loving it.
“I received my new sublimated Redline Device a week ago and have been so excited to ride it,” say Fuzzy. “It’s a feeling I haven't had since I was 9-years-old. I’ll admit I was a little worried about getting used to a new bike after being on the same one for so long, but as soon as I hopped on the Redline, I knew it was dialed.”The last time Tim Hall rode a Redline bike was back in 1988, as a 15 year old test pilot for BMX ACTION magazine (April issue). Since that time, the nickname “Fuzzy” has become a mainstay in the freestyle BMX scene. At 36 years old, the always-enthusiastic dirt-jumper from Utah has made a name for himself as both a rider and a jump builder. For the past few years, he has manned the tractor that builds all of the obstacles for NBC’s Dew Action Sports Tour. And ever since the 90’s, his jump-filled backyard in Utah has become legend. With an outgoing personality that gives him instant likability, fans and riders have nothing but respect for Fuzz.
“You can’t find one rider or person in the BMX industry who has a bad word to say about the guy,” summed up Craig “gOrk” Barrette, Redline’s marketing director. “I’ve had the opportunity to watch his progress since the beginning; when he was doing crazy can-can variations in ‘87. And I know that his definition of sponsorship is the same as ours. Fuzzy and Redline are a perfect match.”
“So far, I have only been with Redline for one week and I feel right at home,” seconds Fuzzy. “I am stoked to be with a company that respects the history I have in BMX, and offers me a dream job with lots of opportunities. It’s exactly where I pictured myself at this point in my life and career.”
As of March 1st, Fuzzy will officially be on board with Redline Bicycles as their new Freestyle Team Manager and Rider. And he’ll be hitting the ground riding; choosing the last few members of the Factory cartel, putting together a grassroots “Flow” team program, and scheduling a Redline Tour for later in the year. Add these tasks to his TM duties with O’GIO bags, along with co-running his retail bike shop – 50/50, and Fuzzy is one busy BMXer.
“I am thrilled to be in a position now where I can help the new up-and-coming riders,” Hall summed up. “From the factory team to the flow riders, our two goals are to provide riders a platform to showcase their talents, and secondly, and to continue national promotions for the Redline brand.”
With a full range of Redline freestyle bikes, as well as their high-end Device line of frames, forks, cranks and bars all available from Seattle Bike Supply, the addition of “Fuzz” to their promotional efforts is bound to create even more demand for the 1,800+ Redline dealers around the U.S..REDLINE BICYCLES
