The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: It just doesn't brake. Year after year it will put up with WHATEVER you dish out and you can throw it and you can hit 20 stair drops to flat and you can have fun without going broke. If you only want to buy one stem and never have to replace it get this one. Hurry and get the cool ones because now they put a logo on the front and it looks really tacky. S&M should keep it the same way that has made it sell millions the world over. Good stem lose the logo or I'm buying the DK Alpha to knock off a couple ounces WITHOUT some stupid logo forcing you to advertise for them WHEN IT SHOULD JUST BE AN OPTION!!!

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: It is silly to run anything besides pivotal unless you like lugging around tons of extra weight. No matter what they try to do with it, conventional is over. It's done. Pivotal has replaced conventional and it's a waste of metal to keep making this crap. Too heavy, too weak, too high maintenance, too old.

Rating:

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: If you'd pay $72 for a single rim you need to get a Life, but if you come across one of these for cheaper or if Odyssey ever sells them for a decent price they're good and strong. They're only rival is the Primo Hula Hoop. Rear rim only unless you weigh more than 300lbs. Never spend more than $50 for a single rim regardless of what's going on with it.

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: Wow, I've never owned pegs that lasted this long. Is it the 4140 that makes such a big difference or just well designed??? I don't know, but these things sure aren't phased by all Night sessions on rough concrete. Never buy the "lighters" they ONLY TAKE OFF .2 OF AN OUNCE. It's a rip off to pay extra when you can grind .2 of an ounce off of these in like five grinds.

Rating:

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: Small pedals make it harder to balance and really difficult to do big tricks. This was one of the few bad ideas from S&M. They don't make many mistakes, but the 101s are just a bad memory of everybody's feet slipping off pedals everyday right in the middle of tricks where you need traction the most.

Rating:

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: I run the V2 LHD 48h and if you know how to take care of it, you won't be buying another cassette hub anytime soon. Get it in the 48h if you don't like to re-true or re-spoke your wheels every week.

Added a product review for FBM Hub Guard Hub Guard 1/26/2009 5:31 AM
C138_92773460_1262029437

Untitled

Rating:

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: You have to force it into your frame by spreading the rear triangle just a couple millimeters, but once you get it you will be happy you did. No other hub guard has ever sold more than this one. You know if the FBM and Animal teams run it that it can probably handle some serious abuse. Don't try to run it on any dirt, flatland or park only frames. This is a street part meant for street frames only. You will mess up any other frame by trying to install it.

Rating:

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: A must have for any cassette hub that accepts it. Anytime a part is lighter AND stronger AND is more reliable with less maintenance, there is really is no contest. If you take care of it, one of these can last you for two or three years. There is no reason why any bmx bike should have a two piece driver. Like single wall rims and one piece cranks THEY ARE DONE.

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: The steel version is the only one you should ride. Paying $45 dollars for a tiny two ounces of aluminum is STUPID. And if you pay it, they will continue to think it is okay to rip you off like this. If they sold the aluminum GTX-R for $20 NO ONE WOULD HAVE EVER EVEN HEARD OF THE SNAFU MOBEUS OR ANY OTHER DETANGLER. Come on Odyssey!!! $45 to take ONE OUNCE OFF THE ORIGINAL??? You've got to be kidding!!! Not every rider is a rich kid and THIS ISN'T EVEN MADE IN aMERICA!!! It's made in Taiwan where IT PROBABLY COSTS LIKE 30 CENTS A PIECE WHILE THEY TURN A 700% PROFIT. Screw that, I'm riding the steel one until they give the GTX-R a fair price.

Untitled

Rating:

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: These things suck. I (personally) know two people that have broken them both of which weigh under 150lbs!!! As if that doesn't seal the deal, they didn't even come out in any other size besides 175mm. What's up with that? Thirdly, THEY DIDN'T EVEN COME IN THE COOLEST COLOR SHADOW MAKES. I rock all kinds of Electric Lime Shadow parts because it is awesome, but even if this crank had come in Lime and even if tall people could ride 175mm IT WILL BREAK ON YOU IN LESS THAN A MONTH. Don't waste your money on poorly made cranks. If you're not riding a Profile BMX Crank or a DK Social crank then you're asking for problems. TRUST THE REAL DEAL. When it comes to important parts or expensive parts, never trust a company that doesn't stand behind their product to the point of replacing it anytime in your Life like Odyssey and several others do. Sorry Shadow you weren't ready to make cranks yet.

Rating:

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: Why do they still make full link chains??? This is a must have if you ride anything besides dirt. It's invincible in the street and parks. I run it with an Odyssey MDS chainwheel WITH the inner guard. If you run this chain with both guards, you have to file the masterpin down, but if you keep your chain well oiled, you will never have to buy another chain for the rest of your Life! No kidding.

Added a product review for Odyssey M2 Lever Medium Brake Lever 1/26/2009 4:56 AM
C138_91567250_1262029553

Untitled

Rating:

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: The only lever worth buying. It's light and it can take a beating time and time again. FINALLY an upper cable without that stupid thing bouncing around and hitting the bars. It could be a little cheaper, but it's the best one Odyssey has ever made.

Rating:

The Good:

The Bad:

Overall: This is one of the best bars on the market. I have the tall 7.75" rise. After a year and a half of brutal street riding they are still just like new. It was really stupid for Shadow to stop making these. Really light and really strong. What we're you thinking Shadow Conspiracy??? BRING THEM BACK!!!
