Thats when BMX was born, and the bike business hasnt been the same since. If it werent for the crusty old guys at Schwinn, todays hard-core riders might be barging skateparks and bombing six packs on English three-speeds! One of todays top riders whose really thankful to the folds at Schwinn is dirt jumping legend TJ Lavin. This multi-medal X Games winner-turned-TV-superstar has ridden a Schwinn for years. In his current side gig as the host of MTVs reality show The Inferno, TJ challenges contestants with a variety of Schwinn products, including some bicycles and even our brand-new gas-powered scooters.
