Surprise, Surprise.. thats what we got when we opened up a few boxes of Forks and Bars we just received. Terra and Stone colors were marked on the box, but to our surprise, they were not.

Monarchy Fork

Simple BMX just release there first fork the 'Monarchy'. Many hours of R&D and testing went into the Monarchy fork but all that time produced one killer fork.

Wheel Slammers

These little slammers fill the gap between your axle and drop out. They work          just like a chain tensioner with out the bolt and are simple and light.

The slammers come in 14 sizes from 0.5mm to 8mm so will work with any frame / chain / chainwheel combination. Each slammer has a different size on each side so there's 7 different combinations available.

The sizes are as follows.

1.5 and 2.0mm

2.5 and 3.0mm

3.5 and 4.0mm

4.5 and 5.0mm

Catch a first glance at some of the new HB shirt designs. Early January 2008.

The first round of designs feature the Zag shirt, the Peace Shirt and the SK design, Seth Kimbroughs' rider design shirt.

Throughout the 2008 year, we will be contimually releasing new HB rider designed shirts. The first rider on the chopping block is Seth Kimbrough's SK shirt.

These shirts will be offered in several colors ways and will be ready for purchase in early January 2008.

SMPL Eject hub

This hub has been in the works for almost three years now. It came about as SMPL wanted to design a small, clean, lightweight hub that could still be used with pegs. Other hubs had been designed with thicker flanges to stand up for grind damage. But with this design, we worked a way around it, and made a "flangeless" hub with an optional hubguard. The hub features a female axle system and runs regular type spokes.
It's been tested since 2005, and has shown no problems in the process.

- 7075-T6 Aluminum throughout.
- Hollow 17mm female axle with M10 threads
- Low weight (8.9oz)
- Optional hub/spoke guard

SMPL System Front Load Stem

SMPL wanted to make a front load wedge system stem that was a little different from what was already available on the market.
The wedge pushed back on the fork when you tighten up your bars, so you avoid having two bolts to hit your knees on at the back of it.

SMPL Eject Top Load Stem

SMPL wanted to make a stem and wanted to create a stem that was a little different from what was already available on the market.
The design has been in the works for more than two years, and we now finally have the first production models.
The clamping system gives the stem a more slim and smooth shape, and also gets rid of extra and unnecessary material used with the "normal" clamping system.

SMPL Seat Posts Clamp

SMPL wanted to make a seat post clamp that was clean and light weight.To achieve this we designed this with a internal machining. This gave us the clean look and the light weight.

Just a little over 15 years ago Mat Hoffman hired me to work at Hoffman Bikes. Little did I know about the road I was going to travel. Throughout the years, I managed to work my way up through many job titles; shipper, janitor, welder, machinist, polisher, team rider, pro vert rider, team manager, contest organizer, X-games red hat, clown, product manager, product designer, general manager and on to head of HB operations.

With support from Mat Hoffman and Steve Swope, I started Sidewall Distribution. Today we are 1 year in and 7 brands later able to celebrate a dream. But, this is not a dream that could not have happened with out the support and help from many people.

So, i would like to thank everyone that has help make this dream possible, with extra thanks to Hoffman

SMPL BMX is introducing a new product line called the "Eject Series".

Teamrider and really good friend, Jimmy Röstlund has had a big part in the development of the products in the Simple line so far, and has created his own project on the side; Eject Bmx. We talked things over, and came to the conclusion that it makes a lot more sense to run Jimmy's Eject parts through Simple, and this hub is the first item in the Simple Eject series.

EJECT STEM "TOP LOAD" This is the last of the new samples that just arrived. The Eject stem, also designed by Jimmy Röstlund. Jimmy has always been a fan of the topload look, and wanted to make a stem and wanted to create a stem that was a little different from what was already available on the market. The design has been in the works for more than two years, and we now finally have the first prototype. The clamping system gives the stem a more slim and smooth shape, and also gets rid of extra and unnecessary material used with the "normal" clamping system. Shown in the photos is the first sample, and it will go through a few minor changes before it will be released. But you get the general idea. As you might remember from older news posts, we also have a frontloader stem in the works, the "System". SMPL PEDAL We also got in the first prototypes of our new pedal design. The basic idea with this pedal is to create a straight forward pedal with a nice symmetric shape based on the classic Shimano DX pedals from back in the day. We are working with an axle/ bearing system that has nylon bushings, and no bearings to make things lighter, and to get around the problem of blowing out bearings. The pedals are making their way onto the teamrider's bikes, and the testing of the first prototypes will begin. The weight is still to be confirmed, but these things are light! Availability will most likely be at the end of the year, first we need to do some testing and more research. more photo's and details @ SMPL SITE. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last week, we were happy to see Jon Taylor (a.k.a. Mad Jon, MJ, Motor Mouth, Lunatic Larry) from the UK. Mad Jon and his girlfriend Emma took a holiday to Austin to check out SXSW (South by Southwest.) After a week of shows they packed up Taj Mihelich's mini van and headed to the HB compound to hang for a few days.
