This was a contest I almost started out missing. Lack of funds can quickly change anyone’s mind about driving 10 hours. Luckily, my friend Hetrick came with me and supplied most of the money necessary for gas.
Finally, we arrived and some people I know were surprised to see me there. Oh well, most thought I was going to be a no show. I wanted to get some filming in but I couldn’t find my camera which made me assume that I had left it at home. Bummer too, the flow is one of the best skate parks to get shit done at.
Contest went well. People going crazy like usual. I just chilled. I came there to do that wall ride to flair and that’s it. I managed somehow to do that first try. Yeah, I was stoked. Maddog did a flair whip twice, and Mat Sparks just went crazy and flair whipped the channel. Flair whips are apparently in. Plus, this was my first contest without brakes, and I think I did pretty well. I took 4th place without doing a single tailwhip. Hahaha sweet…
