Diamond in the rough....

Rating:

The Good: Requires some mods, stock it's very heavy, but under the heavy parts it's very nice, with a little work will serve you well. Please read overall review.

The Bad: Seat is absolute garbage, discard immediately. Stock pedals weighed a ton. Brakes were bulky and also weighed a ton. I ride brakeless so problem solved. Brake pads made of Plastic?!

Overall: When I got the bike I assembled it stock to see how it felt. The answer, garbage. Weighs a ton. The stock pivotal seat is the flimsiest thing I've ever seen, a lawsuit waiting to happen, threw it out. Replace seat, check. Stock pedals were by far the heaviest pedals I've ever seen, they weren't the normal pedals that DK sends stock, so I replaced them with actual DK stock pedals, which are actually very light. Perfect. Now the brakes are the shoddiest things I think I've ever seen, Brake arms weighed a ton and the brake pads appear to be made of plastic. Not rubber or silicone, hard plastic. I ride brakeless so off they go, removed the gyro and stripped off the stickers and the end result is stunning. This bike stock weighs a ton, but strip it down a bit like I described and it's actually a very light, very attractive bike. It's lighter than my street bike! Looks better too. Geometry feels good, haven't gotten a chance to testride it yet. Moral of the story; don't judge a book by it's cover. Under the heavy components it's actually a great bike. Oh, and pegs are very very light and seem well suited for flatland.

Surprisingly comfortable.

Rating:

The Good: This is actually one product that I've been surpised with! Very small and thin with little padding. But even with it's stripped down padding it is still comfortable enough to actually sit on.

The Bad: Nothing yet.

Overall: I do like to sit down sometimes. I have an Odyssey Senior pc seat in that opaque white color, and while it looks cool, it is brutal to sit on, even with padded bike shorts. I've switched back to this seat and with padded bike shorts it's enough ride 5 miles to work with. Me likes.

Okay I guess...

Rating:

The Good: I have Shadow Nostra pedals and these are actually lighter and grip just as well.

The Bad: Nothing yet......

Overall: These are nothing special, just cheap plastic pedals.

Pretty damn good.

Rating:

The Good: Nice and soft, I have them in white and I've never ever gotten throttle grip with these.

The Bad: I have them in white and they do get dirty and gross looking. But that's because I was dumb enough to order white grips.

Overall: I do like them a lot, but will probably switch to Odi's because the swirly pattern feels a little weird. Great grips, but the swirly pattern takes some getting used to. If they start to feel tacky, just clean them with hot soapy water.

best bike I've ever had!

Rating:

The Good: Light, fast, handles well, Full chromoly frame forks and handlebars for $400, can't beat that! I have the blue one and the pics don't do it justice, very lovely.

The Bad: Wish it was a bit bigger, brakes kinda suck.

Overall: It has a 20.5 TT, so it's a bit small for me. I'm 6ft 200lbs so it is a bit small for someone my size. Feels kinda squirrely at high speeds. Nothing's ever come loose or broken so I can't complain.
