Added reply in a thread Need a new hub 1/21/2015 11:05 PM

Yeah.. They discontinued for a reason. I got one for the hype about a good 4-5 months ago and totally regret it. It was even the newer models, too. The drive side collar wears out oddly for some reason, especially on 9t. And I feel like something was ... more »

Definitely not guard sprocket material.

In the picture, you can see it's on the opposite side where a traditional right-handed player would obviously put the horn. Damned Jackson got bored with these models..

The only thing I hate is how some hubs are made with different flange sizes. It seriously pisses me off to have to get 2 sets of different spokes, let alone happening to only have one set and end up with longer spokes. That's how my Gsport hub was and ... more »

I once had a Salt hubset from a 2010 WTP Volta (the super nice completes). My god, the hubset was absolute heaven and better than almost every single hub I've had, even comparing with the Gsports, BSD's, etc. The front was a female with THREADED axle ... more »

It's almost optimal to have 180's almost completely dialed. If you ever started learning 180's by carving about like 45 degrees, well then now is the time to put that back into use. But this time, just carve even a bit more depending on your speed and ... more »

I'm saving up for EMG HZ H4 pickups or whatever. They're the equivalent of those new fancy solderless EMG 81/85's. If anything, I love my Jackson JS30RR FR. The only things I really could hate about it is that it's neck heavy, which is the first worst ... more »

Any tips for goofy-footed riders out there? Spins are as hard as tricks can get and you have to muscle them way more than regular riders.

That Sexton stem looks nice if no one goes through with it.

Added reply in a thread brake pads/paint off rim 1/17/2015 9:45 PM

That's the thing, you have PAINT, not ANODIZE. And if you were to have HARD anodize, then you'd probably get the least wear out of any kind of brakes.

Added reply in a thread It makes me sad I will never be this good at music 1/15/2015 11:44 PM

All you gotta know is how to sing and play guitar. All that's left is to get a rhythm on the drum and hammer on the guitar. That's where singing and guitar playing together seamlessly makes your mind run unnoticed.

How much exactly do you want for the rear? Part out just the hub possibly?

Added reply in a thread Spinning/foot forward question 1/15/2015 8:55 PM

3's are a bitch for me, let alone 180's, just for the fact that being goofy-footed makes you muscle yourself into the spins so much sometimes..

Added reply in a thread Gsport Ratchet hub common problems. 1/15/2015 12:49 AM

Actually, it's just the driver that has problems. I haven't had to take apart my hub shell bearings once since day one and they're the best spinning bearings I've ever had.

http://www.gsportbmx.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/ratchet-mint_8453.jpg You see how the collar on this hub and many other Gsport Ratchet's have it over the entire top of the driver? I don't know, maybe it could be just with 9t? I'm positive mine isn't backwards, otherwise I would've shredded that collar to bits ... more »

If you're talking about a plastic bash guard underneath the driver, those were the older hub designs. But the 10t does have a specific washer that fits right underneath the driver.

Added reply in a thread Gsport Ratchet hub common problems. 1/15/2015 12:43 AM

I maintain it fairly well even thought it needs little to none maintenance. The problem is with the hub components. This hub is as simple as it gets. Maybe too simple in fact..

School-wise, I can pretty much get almost every single REGULAR class an A, or at least B to B+ average. For my recent AP classes, it's all C average, which is also grade boosted after term ends. English is something I can definitely put up with. Some ... more »

I knew it was a matter of time before my hub would be just like the majority of people who have had problems with the hub.. The drive side cone is basically a press-fit aluminum with a rubber seal. For 10t, it looks like the cone rests on top of the ... more »
