This is a quick web video I made to fill my end of loosing a bet. I bet Robert Castillo, that my favorite NBA team, the Orlando Magic would win against his favorite NBA team, the San Antonio Spurs. The winner got to come up with a trick for the looser to learn, and the looser was given 2 weeks to learn it and get it on video, and email it to the winner.... or pay $200! I planned to honor this bet but I also felt very confident I could learn the switch footed elbow glide, even though I had never done one. I have done them with my regular foot for years, but switch footed means balancing with your oppisite leg! If you can do a hang five, try standing on the opposite leg and balance with your other leg, your weak and uncoordinated leg! Ha Ha! It's not easy, and my elbow got bruised right away, because the seat hits just above your funny bone, and you know how bad that hurts! So the footage in this video was shot at Cirque Du Soleil where my friend Marcos Paulo De Jesus rides and practices on his days off and after and inbetween his Cirque shows 5 days a week. The floor is hard rubber with a softer coating of black shiny rubber over that. Kind of slow, but a lot of fun. This was my first time riding in this spot, and it was definitely a challenge! I'm excited to go back and see if I can figure out the surface a little better! I'm stoked I don't owe Robert $200 but even happier about learning a trick I had never worked on before! It's an interesting way to learn something new for sure! Enjoy the vid! Kip
