That's great news. I was informed by someone close to the situation, but apparently you have more info. Please shoot me an e-mail and I'll update the story - firstname.lastname@example.org.

First round invites. Expect more soon.

I saw that he posted that. These are the official invites currently confirmed by ESPN. I'm guessing his will be confirmed during their next batch of invited riders.
Grey tires look awesome on there. I dig it.

What do you mean by " rat.&expose alot of behind closed door transactions?" I don't follow...

I don't know anything about snow sports, but I'm willing to bet he chose not to compete. In addition to his talent, Shaun White has a lot of star power. X-Games WANTS to put a guy like that on TV. It's good for business.

The votes are valued in descending order. Whoever I put in first is worth astronomically more than whoever I put in tenth. For that reason, I feel the relevance of my picks drops dramatically after the top three. I'm glad you think these are "duh riders," but they're not invited and need to be nominated.
I assumed you were from Poland based on your comment. I was right. Godziek is amazing and I'd love to see him in there, but he didn't make my top 3. Keep in mind that they're going to invite (I believe) 12 riders and a couple of alternates in addition to the three prequalified riders. This piece is simply highlighting my personal top picks.
No. A lot of these guys are incredibly passionate about competing. Also, it's a rare chance for some BMX riders to make a big paycheck. Even if it's not for everyone, X-Games is a very good thing.
Because there wasn't a contest last year, no one is pre-qualified. I don't think Garrett will have any problems making it in, though.
No.... If anything, that would be street. By park they mean box jumps and quarterpipes... Stuff like that.
30 and one second is over 30.

The numbers don't lie!
I think he meant "we're" referring to guys that get to ride BMX for a living.

Not the whole team, but I'm pretty sure Guettler isn't the only victim. More news to come...
It's difficult, but I don't think putting the girls on this type of stage is the answer. This contest / show is out there to expose BMX to the masses. The highest level female athletes in BMX aren't even in the same ballpark as the men. I'd be shocked if they could find ten women in the world who felt comfortable even simply jumping all of the ramps that will be at Nitro World Games. I could see this being counterproductive both for the female riders and for the audience experiencing BMX - possibly for the first time - in the long run. I am, however, a huge supporter of women riding BMX, I just really don't think - for the time being, at least - this is the place for it.

While I can't immediately verify, I'm pretty confident this will not include female competitors. They're packing A LOT into three hours, so I don't think there's room for much more. Also, I think we've gotta base some of our guesses here on the Nitro Circus shows, which only include one or two females (neither of whom are BMX riders).
Thanks, but my name is Kyle.
