If I read the article correctly, I think the company is going to be sold. It isn't dead (yet, at least...), but will definitely be facing some big changes in the future.

Probably around 6. Had to get insurance stuff finalized before we announced time / date to the public. Took longer than expected.

There were MTB trails last year, but nothing special for the event - just a few things that were already at the park.

If it's anything like past Dreamline events, there will be a course specifically made for the contest and no one else will be able to ride it.

Damn. That's a large setup.

Nah, moving to San Diego. I end up in NC at least three or four times a year for random things, but I'm staying out west.

I'm going to be in Raleigh that week, but have to fly home the day before. Bummed. I'm moving directly after Texas Toast, so I need a few days to pack all of my stuff. Have fun! I'm sure it will be awesome.

If it's good enough for Kriss Kyle, it's good enough for anybody.

Reply to BMX a sport? 9/15/2014 8:36 PM

It's a non-traditional sport, but a sport nonetheless. The lack of rules makes it non-traditional. The physical activity involved and potential for competition make it a sport. Either way, it's fun. That's what's most important.

All good points by Devin Feil. I've never met him, but he seems to be educated, well-spoken, and correct.

Anything in particular you need? I went out there a little while ago. It was awesome. My main contact there recently moved, but there's a chance I could help.

The same guy (Clay Goldsmid) owns Hyper, Failure, and Snafu. Not really sure what the future holds for Failure, but Hyper and Snafu are going strong.
