Swapped my forks, bars, pedals, seat and post, and front wheel. I removed my white 990 Pitchforks (they're heavy) and added black Odyssey race forks which means I also had to change to a 3/8 front hub. The hub is Profile anodized purple with ti bolts and the wheel is a black sun with black spokes and purple anodized nips. The white Animal Piff bars have been replaced by black S&M Medium Bars. My white Primo Stricker magnesium unsealed pedals have been replaced with black Wellgo sealed pedals. They are a bit heavier but feel way better and I can move my feet again! And I replaced my purple anodized Animal pivotal post with a black Thomson post and my white Animal seat is replaced with the black Profile seat. It's more comfy than the Animal seat.
I did it to lighten up the bike a bit and see what black would look like. I don't like the black on the purple haze as much. It tones the frame down and almost hides the color. The white parts are flashy and brings out the frame colort. My front end is WAY lighter than the back so I have to really throw the front back down when I hit the hips at the park.
I need to evenly distribute the weight so I plan on building new wheels with white profile hubs. They are being released in February. I'll keep the Sun Rhynolite up front with ti spokes and ti on the axle. I haven't decided on 3/8 or 14mm, yet. On the rear I'll go with the Primo 7000 series rim (my Sun City Lite keeps flexing when I do tire taps), profile hub with ti 9t driver, ti hollow 14mm axle, ti bolts, and ti spokes. I think I'm gonna add Berringer Bars and powder coat them white. The forks will determine whether I go with 3/8 hubs or 14mm. I will get white Pitch XLT or maybe something lighter similar to the Odyssey Race or Director fork.
