Only the seattube and downtube are chromo. Try to get as much chromoly in the frame as possibly. If you can't possibly go over $400, make sure you get a chromo main frame at least. This is better.

I wouldn't be comfortable going that much over 3 on my ratio. Getting your speed back up in time to hit the next jump could be difficult, especially if you had to slow down for the previous jump. You might get tired pretty quick too. Depends on the trails ... more »
