Hey man,
I got your message asking about barspins. My advice is going to be about the way I learned how to pinch the seat when I was learning, but it is probably going to go against what most people will tell you to do, and it will definitely go against what is considered cool and normal now-a-days.
The way I learned is by sitting on my bike, with my back tire against a wall or curb so I could have my front wheel off the ground, and just spinning the bars and catching them. Spinning them fast and slow, with my eyes closed, doubles, singles. This just made me more comfortable with knowing when to grab hold of the bars. The next part is going to be the uncool part, but I'd say raise your seat up until you can squeeze the seat comfortably with your knees. My post used to be a mile long, but once I got more comfortable, I was slowly able to lower it and still get a good pinch. Just practice pinching your seat while you are rolling around town. Good Luck!!
