There are so many good bikes out there, it's hard to go wrong. I ride a Mongoose Shield which is my own pro model. Hoffman make good bikes, so do Wethepeople, Fly, Mirra Co, Eastern. Any of these companies have good all round bikes to get started on, check out the ads in magazines or by linking through websites like this one. Take your time picking out what you like and let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck!
