Yeah Spain is awesome I live in the wrong part of the country for BMX but 2.5 hour drive to Malaga isn't too bad. You get to really ride with all kinds of people from every where. I have riden in Malaga with a German, a Dane, some Brits, Spanish of course, and me an American. It's great!!
For masonite??? Try an oil base paint... let it dry throughly... water base will come off in a hurry.
Or you could try to treat it with linseed oil, its a protective oil coat that hardens on a surface and feels awesome when riding on...
