There was, of course. When I say "most" riding, I mean most kids didn't have access to ramps and pools were a pipe dream (in New York at least). I'm talking very early 80s too. So most of us were watching flatland riders and emulating them. Ramp wasn't ... more »

I rode freestyle in the 80s as a kid. I think these days, the lines have just become more and more blurred. Back then, the BMX (racing) bikes and the freestyle bikes were in different sections of the bike shop. And they were spec'd very different as ... more »
It's been a long cold winter, but springtime is knocking on the door here in New York. Finally got around to ordering up a new seat and post for my Saint. I went long and comfy. Kink Flagpole 330mm post and a Deco Deche Fat, both in Black. Ordered from ... more »
I think I need a blue chainring. Whattaya think?
Love that black/white/gold thing going on. I was considering putting a front brake on my Saint. What kit did you buy for that?
With the new Amber combo

The Ezra cranks ARE a pretty darn good deal. I assume the Ezra logo is a sticker. Take it off and put on one of the free Amber stickers that I'm sure you got (I got a ton with my bars) and transform them into Amber cranks. That's what I'd do. Just throwing

To stay on topic (Vein BMX fanboyism), I also just ordered an Amber blue/black combo seat/post for my Saint. Can't wait to get that thing installed and ditch that crazy Bontrager road seat I have in it right now.
Is it just me, or does it look like he's riding in the forests of Endor?

I'd like to add... Adolescents Descendents Agent Orange Youth Brigade Social Distortion 7 Seconds Suicidal Tendencies I'm sure I missed 1,000 more, but I like the majority of your list. Nothing beats this music, especially for riding (or skating).
Regarding the cranks, why don't you go for the Ezra Torch cranks in red? They are on sale for $29.
I'm currently on the hunt for a new seat/post. I'm looking at the Ezra Native seat. The price is certainly right, and they look just subtle enough to fit my taste. I wish the Amber combo seat/post was just a little bit longer, or I'd pick one of them ... more »
My Stolen is better than your Schwinn.
Here's the Saint with the 8" Amber Veil bars, and blue ODI Longneck grips. I'm liking the extra blue accents. I'm going to replace the seat with a Macneil 330mm post and an Ezra Native seat. For the seat I'm torn between getting a blue one and a black

There need be no other reason than that.
Those are some seriously bad ass dirt jumps. I WISH I had something like that by me.
I'm thinking of getting pegs for my Saint, but I'm confused as to which size I need for the front and which for the back. I can see my back axle looks physically larger in diameter than the front axle, but I'm not sure if that helps me or just makes ... more »

I definitely like the look/design of the red stem too. I didn't mind the Red/Black/Red feel with the old stem, but I'd probably stick with the red one too. Yeah, I'm really liking Vein BMX too. I wish I had something I needed from them so I could place

Just came across this thread. I'm a new owner of a Saint as well, only a few weeks ago in fact. How are you liking it? I've been riding like crazy on mine. Partly cruising around the neighborhood for exercise, partly trying to pull off stuff that I can't ... more »
I'll probably give it a shot tonight. I'm a guitar player of many years, and I sort of think not being able to true your own wheels is like not being able to change strings on, or tune, your guitar. It'd be pretty frustrating taking it to the music shop ... more »
