Added reply in a thread BMX a sport? 9/15/2014 7:34 AM

i dont see it as a sport. it's a hobby, a hobby that's more awesome than any "sport". sports have rules, we do whatever the hell we want. "real" sports are shit (no offense to people who also do "real" sports on this forum).

Added reply in a thread spokes??? 9/6/2014 7:26 PM

DT swiss is definitely a good choice. Odyssey also makes good spokes and they come in straight gauge and double butted. I've been running odysseys for about a year now and none of them have broken yet

Added reply in a thread Pressure 9/6/2014 11:06 AM

higher pressure is supposed to make it easier to pump ramps but it's mostly personal preference and what/how you like to ride. i ride everything and i run 70 psi, anything lower than 60 feels too squishy to me and over 80 hurts my wrists. a lot of my ... more »

Added reply in a thread Cheep cranks 9/1/2014 7:25 PM

i don't know how hard he rides but if he rides kinda hard i'd say stay away from the sunday sakers. a dude i ride with regularly just bent them recently, he's a pretty decent rider but he doesn't really go big and he still bent them

Added reply in a thread Angle iron won't slide? 9/1/2014 11:01 AM

i know you said oil but have you tried using wax? i think wax works much better (just use a candle if you can't find any wax), i used to use oil back in the days when i just learnt how to grind and all it did was make my clothes dirty when i mess up ... more »

Added reply in a thread odyssey chase hawk tire 8/29/2014 1:43 PM

thats weird cuz i ride them mostly on wooden ramps and they grip just fine. but either way you've already bought them so you'll find out haha

Added reply in a thread odyssey chase hawk tire 8/29/2014 11:00 AM

they might be a little slippery at first but once you wear them in after a few sessions they should be good. i've been running them front and rear for a few months now and they're perfect. great grip on park and street, I've only ridden dirt on them ... more »

Added reply in a thread Flybikes....good, bad? please shed some light 8/18/2014 8:13 PM

I've ran a fly frame, first version of the cranks, and the latest version of the cranks (almost a year now, still holding strong) and they're solid but thats just my opinion. but $150 CAD for JUST the frame off of a complete isn't a very good deal, its ... more »

Added reply in a thread Does it really matter? 8/17/2014 9:32 PM

don't worry too much about your bike setup when you're just starting off. sure, a short rear end does make life a little easier but it's not gonna make a night and day difference especially when you're starting off. it's really 99% practice. it takes ... more »

Added reply in a thread My Plain, Simple, MUTINY 8/16/2014 6:09 PM

Thanks man! Frame feels great, if you like a short rear end you'll probably like it. it's a solid frame. my friend tried to ride it and messed up on a grind and dropped it on a ledge and it didn't dent. mutiny makes great stuff, I'm a fan lol.
