Ben Hucke In Maui
I just checked the weather and Maui, Hawaii is legitimately twice the temperature of Portland, Oregon. That should be enough information to explain Ben Hucke's recent trip, but we asked him a few questions anyway. Check out what Ben had to say about living the good life.

Why are you in Maui?
Amy, my girlfriend, and I went to Honolulu last year and this year we wanted to try somewhere a little less busy. Maui turned out to be perfect for us; not too slow and not too busy. This was our last chance to vacation before our son is born mid-March.
You been riding out there? What's the scene like?
Yeah, I was surprised when I got the approval to bring my bike, haha! I thought I'd only be riding to the store and whatnot, but it turns out there is a dialed skatepark four blocks from the hotel. I met up with George and Wesley who are locals and shred real hard. I'm still a little baffled these two kids that live out in the middle of the ocean are so good at riding. George could very well hold his own at a Dew Tour stop and Wesley's got mad flow and smooth lines everywhere.
Any street spots?
A couple; just manual pads and little rails. I never made it into town. I went snorkeling in Molokini instead; it was worth it.

How does the weather in Maui compare to the weather back home in Portland?
Haha; I showed up to the park in shorts and a tank top. George and Wesley were freezing in their long sleeves and pants because it's winter here for them. It's about 40-50 degrees warmer here than it is in Portland. I'm in heaven.
When are you headed home?
We're actually catching the red eye as soon as I finish writing this. We'll be home the morning of the 23rd.
What are you up to after you get home?
Picking up our chihuahuas from the vet, getting back to my real job, finishing the baby's room (he'll be here in March!), shooting some photos with Shad Johnson, finishing up my next web video with Scott, filming for the Goods video, filming some stuff with Sean Burns for Bone Deth; the filming never really stops. I always have something to be filming for. It keeps me pretty busy, haha!
