Chris Doyle, Ryan Guettler, Allan Cooke, and myself joined movie maker Brian Purdy on a seven-day trip from North Carolina through South Carolina, Georgia, and Northern Florida, hitting up campuses and a couple of cement parks. Following “Drama” in 2004 and “Sentenced to Life” in 2005, “F this S” will be Brian’s third BMX movie.

Doyle Rail Hop Allan had some unfinished street business in Athens, Georgia and ended up getting his final clip for his part, which I can’t talk about. (You’ll have to wait and see the video.) Doyle claimed he had to pick up the slack for his part and got a couple of clips a day to catch up. He could fill the part with 360-turndowns and I’d be happy. Guettler got a few good clips, too. One line he worked on included starting with a tailwhip over a skatepark rail from a wedge. He did it perfectly so many times and ended up getting his trick after the whip he wanted. I thought the tailwhip alone was tough. I filmed a few things but crashed hard on an air at a skatepark in Athens, Georgia. I hurt a rib that kept me pretty quiet for the last few days of the trip. Currently, I have about half a section done so I have a lot of filming to do.

On the trip we got to meet up with motocross superstar Ricky Carmichael at his private farm in Florida to watch him and his teammates test some new products and get their bikes ready for the next race.

Guettler with Gear The road trip was good as we all got a few clips, which made Brian happy. Heading south was a great way to get away from the cold weather. Brian’s upcoming movie, “F this S”, will be out in July 2007. The movie will also include parts from Cody Bowers, Rob Wise, Kelly Bolton, and Adam Banton. A trailer will be available on www.studio411.com in a few weeks. Check it out.
