The 10 Best Videos of 2008

Everyone has their own idea of what makes a good BMX video, but for this list of the best videos of 2008, we let the numbers do the talking. We dug into the stats to see exactly which videos got the most views over the past year, and the results might surprise you. Do you agree that these are the ten best videos of the year? Number 10: Levi's Clip of the Week: Crashes
Personally, I'm not a fan of watching riders eat crap, but the fact is that to get hard tricks done, it usually involves some nasty crashes. The Levi's crew put in some serious work for their team video, and this Clip of the Week showed just how brutal things can get. Will Stroud and the Levi's crew never disappoint with their videos.

Number 9: Vans Contest in Orlando, FL
The Vans Skatepark in Orlando, Florida is home to a great scene, and this video from one of their contests was super-popular. Was it the great riding, or the fact that Catfish got taken out? You make the call. Brett Rohlfing rocked the camera and editing for this flick.

Number 8: Greenville Giant Jump Session
Riding from Greenville, North Carolina always shows up in our top ten lists, and this was no exception. Dan Sieg came through with the banger this time around, and Terrell Gordy got another one of his filmed/edited videos in the ten.

Number 7: Bob the Barrierr
We weren't sure how people would react to the music in this video, but apparently you loved it. This was the only video of the year that had Vital Members quoting lyrics in the Comments. And the fact that the riding that went down at Dave Mirra's warehouse for this video was nuts didn't hurt. Once again, Terrell Gordy was the one responsible for making this video.

Number 6: Toronto BMX Jam 2008
Toronto is home to a wild contest every year, and the Vital video that comes out of the event is consistently in the top ten. This year's video should have been named "Hot Foot" with all of the crazy footjam combos in effect. This was a Losey/Ramsdell collaboration.

Number 5: Ryan Guettler's Backyard Ramps
Ryan Guettler's backyard is not your typical ramp setup, and maybe that's why you guys liked this video so much. Not only are the ramps unique, but the riding Guettler and crew throw down is definitely top notch. Glenn PP Milligan handled the video production on this beauty.

Number 4: Ben Snowden Up-Rail to Front-Flip
This video got the BMX world buzzing in a hurry, and it was only one trick! Ben Snowden was riding Woodward when he threw down this up-rail-grind-to-front-flip. Who would have thought that would happen anywhere outside of a video game? This is crazy! Put together by Vital BMX.

Number 3: Little Sean Video
Here's a fact: Every time we post a video of a great rider who happens to be under the age of 16, the site goes crazy. This Little Sean video went completely off the charts. I don't know what they are feeding kids in Lakewood, New Jersey, but can I have some? Jamaican took care off all the filming and editing this time around.

Number 2: Best of Dew Tour 2007
This video making the top ten makes sense since it's a lot of the best riders in the sport throwing down nothing but bangers. Add in a heavy metal soundtrack—what more could you want? Put together by Vital BMX

Number One: JoMo Pro 2008 Contest
Did this one catch you off guard? Thirteen minutes of action including the first-ever 360-bikeflip, 360-tailwhip-to-tailwhip back, and a lot more. Dhers, Guetter, Enarson, Warden, Foster, Hunt, Nyquist, Mast, and so many more big names. This video was put together by Losey, Ramsdell, and Christian Rigal. And it should be noted that at one point during hte Hard Trick jam, Christian was literally sprinting around the course, sliding on the ground, and doing whatever it took to get the shot. Christian is a legend.
