A few weeks ago I got word that Kink was going to announce a new rider on their pro team. Being curious, I hit up KC Badger and asked him who it was. KC told me he couldn't tell me who it is, but it makes perfect sense and shouldn't be hard to figure out. I was clueless. A few days later, Kink team manager Jay Roe let me know that Tony Hamlin is the new team rider. Everything made perfect sense at this point. Tony has practically been a part of the Kink crew for sometime now. He lives right near the warehouse and rides with the entire crew on a regular basis. Now, joining the ranks of Chris Doyle, Sean Sexton, and Darryl Tocco, Tomy Hamlin is officially a part of the Kink pro team..

Upon hearing the news, we asked Tony Hamlin a few questions about joining the Kink team. Check out what he had to say!



How long has riding for Kink been in the works?
I have no idea, I guess for a couple of weeks or so. Jay (Roe) just gave me a call after chilling and fimling at the Brighton Ain't Ready house.

How do you feel about riding for Kink?
Pretty freaking stoked! Everyone on the team is my friend so it's ideal.

What do you think of the rest of the team? Have you met all of them yet?
I am stoked to be a part of the team. Most of them are already my good friends. I'm definitely looking forward to trips and stuff.

Kink has been doing a ton of trips lately, are you going to start taking part in those?
I believe so, I'm stoked!

Do you live with the Kink team manager? If so, did that help you get on the team?
Haha, I did before I had surgery on my shoulder, but now I live with my grandparents again. Jay's my best friend and we seriously ride together almost every day. That could have something to do with it.

What's your bike set up looking like these days?
Freaking good. It's got brakes on it! (Talk shit...)

Are you going to film a section for Safety First, the upcoming full length video from Kink?
I believe so, but we'll see. I haven't gotten a single clip yet.

What else do you have in the works?
Nothing really. I'm just going to have fun and ride a ton!
