The Volume team has been working on the video “On the Clock” for a long, long time. Brian Castillo said that he wouldn’t put the video out until it was good enough, and he definitely delivered on that promise. On December 6th he and video producer Glenn P.P. Milligan threw a premiere party at The Knitting Factory on Hollywood Blvd. and the place was packed. I live in North Carolina but I really wanted to be at the party, and thanks to an incredibly cheap last minute flight, I was able to show up to check everything out. A ten-hour roundtrip plane ride to watch a BMX video? It was worth it.
“On the Clock” should be ready for sale soon, and do yourself a favor and pick one up. It’s amazing. The Volume team all killed themselves to get the riding clips, and they also managed to pull off a few skits that are flat out hilarious. The Demolition team has a rad section, and there are guest appearances throughout the video from Greg Walsh, Tony Hawk, Bam Margera, Mike Vallely, Ice Tooney, Dave Dillewaard, Corey Bohan, and more. The club was cheering for good tricks and laughing at the skits all night long.
Congratulations to Brian, Glenn, and Volume for putting together a great video, and thanks for putting on a rad, all-ages show for the debut—definitely worth ten hours roundtrip on an airplane, and that’s as good of an endorsement as I can give. Make sure to check out the two “On the Clock” trailers to get a sample of what to expect.
