Skeletal Metal ReconCable Bracelet

Skeletal Metal sent over some information on what they're all about and their ReconCable Bracelet. Take a look -

Skeletal Metal was borne as a way for people to show what they are made of. Some brands tell people that “you’ve made it.”  Skeletal Metal shows people how you got there.

TJ Lavin is all too familiar with broken bones and the hardware used to fix them. That’s why we teamed with him, Anthony Napolitan, Cory Nastazio, TJ Ellis, Cam White and Nate Berkheimer to show the world what it means to “Show Your Mettle."

Skeletal Metal found a way to take all your hard work, broken bones, and bloody knuckles and fuse them into one brand. Berkheimer summed it up when he said “It’s not what it is, it’s what it represents."

The ReconCable Bracelet is made from the surgical wiring used to fuse shattered bones.

Anthony Napolitan Interview

Vital BMX member kylecarlson

Anthony Napolitan isn't the type of rider that disappears for seven months when the contest season is over - he's one busy dude. In the past few months Anthony has wrapped up a First Hand with Fuel TV, traveled to Colombia to hang out with Alejandro Caro, and found a new home with Red Bull. We asked Anthony a few questions to see what's new and what's coming.
What's up, homie?
Not much, Vital BMX. Just sitting in my living room watching Ronnie (Napolitan) play Modern Warefare 2 on PS3. I'm currently taking care of my bum ankle that I stomped out in Colombia. I've got about three weeks at the most until I can ride again, but my physical trainer said it's coming along really fast. I'm hoping to be back riding again sooner than later.

Where are you right now?
I'm currently in State College, PA. Kelly and I had the house to ourselves until yesterday, then Ronnie and Seth Klinger came back from their trips.
How's the beautiful State College winter?
I haven't actually seen the State College winter yet. I've been on the road so much that I feel like I've missed it. After getting back from Colombia and my West Coast adventures, all of the snow had melted and it got abnormally warm for a January in Pennsylvania.

So, you're on Red Bull, huh? What's up with that?
Hahahaha! Yeah, I'm super stoked to be a part of Red Bull. It's always been a dream of mine to ride for Red Bull ever since I got a taste of what it was like to be a Red Bull athlete. I've felt like I was the step child of Red Bull since 2006. They would always invite me to all of their events, special events, and even take me out to dinner events as well. I think this partnership has been a long time in the making and I feel really lucky to have the chance to be a part of the team. It's a real honor for sure.
How was that plane ride? That shit looked wild.
Oh Man!!!! That ride was insane! Watch that video for sure! I had no idea that I was going on an aerobatics plane that day. When I saw the planes I was thinking about how cool it would be to fly in one. Then, all of a sudden, they were like, "You're here to fly in this plane," I was stunned and excited all at the same time.

Tell us about your Colombia trip in one hundred words or less. We don't have all day.
I don't know if I can do it in one hundred words or less. Basically, Alejandro Caro invited Tj Ellis, Brandon Dosch and myself to come to Colombia and ride a contest called Red Bull Upside Down. I really think the contest was an excuse to get some of the American riders to come down to Colombia and ride with all the locals. It was an awesome time! The contest was great, the locals were really cool, and the overall vibe was amazing! Alejandro is a very generous guy and took care of us so well. If you ever have the chance to go to Colombia you should go.
What was the shadiest thing you saw out there?
I didn't see too many shady things, actually. Just a lot of crazy bums everywhere. It was really chill.

How's everything with Hoffman?

Everything with HB is sick! I'll be going on five years with HB and I'm sure there will be more years to come.
Tell us about your current bike set up...
I love my new bike! It's Subaru blue with orange wheels; all custom powder coat. Check the pic, son!!

How's your brother? Have you been keeping him in check?
He's been on the road for the past few weeks. He went to San Diego. I heard he had a lot of fun. He wants me to put a mini ramp in the garage now because Dennis Enarson has one that they skated everyday. Maybe it will happen in the summer. He's back home now and just left to ride.

What are your plans for the next few months?

Well, I'm just chilling and taking care of my ankle and painting around the house a bunch. I'm going on a tour called Nitro Circus Live in Australia for the whole month of May. I have some practices here and there to go to until March. I'm going to Cali and Vegas for most of March, and then off to Germany at the end of April for a T-Mobile dirt contest. Then, basically straight to the land down under.
Are we going to see a triple front flip anytime soon? I'll pay you $50 if you do one.
Hahahahaha! Probably not. I bet I could could do one if I had a big ramp and a lot of speed. Def wouldn't be the safest thing to huck on a mega ramp!

Any thanks?
I'd like to thank all my sponsors For supporting me over the years.......Hoffman Bikes, Red Bull, Levi's, Maxxis Tires, Skeletal Metal, Poc Helmets, Kicker Audio, DC Shoes, Woodward Camp, Ogio, Profile Racing, System Cycle, Team Blowin it and Lavs Lab Productions. I'd also like to thank my friends, family, and girlfriend for supporting me over the years, too.
