Thanks for joining Keith. I hope you can keep us "officially" updated with Faction!

7/17/2012 7:08 AM

No worries Fondue, I don't get much chance to follow whats going on with forums as I'm just too busy with stuff mate but was stoked to see this pic on FB the other day so thought I'd share it as it shows how agile 22's can be.
As for Faction updates: I would suggest folks just keep checking our Face Book page under Faction Bike Co 22" Wheel Bikes.
We have our photo archive there that we add to every week, going back since we started.
As soon as we have word on our tires, frames and rims we will post it up on there.
Cheers
Keith

Some pretty sick rides in here. Another old guy (35) returning to BMX after many years off. Had a '88 Dyno Compe when I was 11, rode the snot out of that until the mid '90s. Moved on to road and track bikes but lately have had the itch to get back out there.

Here is my '06 Shadow Conspiracy at Highbridge Park

That's a '06 Shadow Conspiracy X Invisible Man 24? Fricking sweet bro. According to this bmxmuseum user there were only 300 made. Take care of it man. Thanks for posting it up.

I had a red/chrome Redline RL20a back in the 80s.

Thanks Fondue!
I've swapped out parts (wheels, bars, post, etc.) but still have all the original parts tucked away in my garage. The stock BB and headset are dead, gonna do a swap of those next week. Other than that, the frame and fork seem solid enough for me.

Ok heres my Saint again after changing everything except the wheels, stem and frame. Still debating on whether to go matte black or matte white with the gold bits (or leave them gold).

It's set up for commuting and endos - that's about it. The 990 brake kit with the kool stop pads on the front lock up with hardly any pull at all, love it!

7/19/2012 5:23 PM

Love that black/white/gold thing going on. I was considering putting a front brake on my Saint. What kit did you buy for that?

"Being good gets you stuff. Being stuff gets you good."

7/19/2012 6:05 PM

Thanks!

990 mounting plate plus the Diatech Hombre brake kit.

All from Danscomp for about $28 combined (cable, lever and pads extra).

Tried about 5 different sets of brake pads before I finally found the Kool Stops, nothing else came close to locking the wheel as quick as these things do if you’re into endos, slight pull even with me sitting on the seat and the back wheel goes straight up.

No. Color chains almost never look good. Blue sprocket is my suggestion.

7/20/2012 9:03 PM

Hey ticojpunk, I notice your in NY too. Any good spots up by you?

If you look closely it's his suggestion too.

Awwww, being mean about my white chain haha.

I was going to go with a black chain, but since they didn't make the MDS sprocket in white I had to go with the chain being white instead.

Argh! That's why I call it a sprocket. It's easier for dumb asses like myself.

Yo Pusher,
Have you been to the skateparks in Throggs Neck or on Allerton? They seem to be more geared towards skaters, but I live 5 minutes away. Let me know if you wanna take another shot at these dirt jumps one day!

Here's my custom 26" NS Traffic which I owned until about two weeks ago when I swapped it for a BMX...

The thing was sick, but everything felt alien on big wheels!
