5/5/2008 3:49 AM To make your bike lighter you need lighter parts! Which takes money. It would help to let us know your set up so we can steer you in the direction you need to go. I thought I had a dope bike a couple years ago untill everything started changing. It almost makes it not fun anymore. Anyway you can start off by cutting your seat post down to 3" below the top tube, use regular innertubes not heavy duty, use electrical tape instead of rim strips, no more heafty chains or big ass pegs, 36 wheel sets with small drive trains make the most difference, You can cut the excess axle off your wheels but be careful not to mess up the threads. Just get a dans comp cataloge and buy the lightest parts the weight is listed in the adds. Then order from albes or your local bmx bike shop. ebay is a great place to find deals too.

5/14/2008 8:14 PM drill a bunch of holes in it to save weight then repeatedly put your nuts on the bars and yell that should help. No seriously dont do that. I mean with drilling the holes.
