take ur bike apart to the bare frame first. Now leave the paint onthat u have and just sand it down (not to the bare metal just so the gloss is gone all over) with the finest sand paper you have then blow ur frame with a air compressor to blow the dust of from sanding. Then paint it with the colour you want do about 3-5 thin coats wait about 10 min after every coat after you have done all the coat let that dry for 30 min or longer (depends what paint you use) then once its dry do 2-3 coats of clear gloss paint then let if dry for like 3 or more hours because even if its touch dry its most likely still not dry enough to ride or put together

yer just get the finest sand paper like 1200 sand it back in one direction then air compressor clean alllll over then do id just suggest this as an added 1 coat of primer then 4-5 if u have enough coats of paint let each coat dry for atleast 20 mins each other whys ull get runs and itll look pooness thenn clear coat 3 time leaving 30 mins between each coat and then leave it in a warm place for a long time out of wind because wind will blow grass and leaves and shit on it and if ur gonna do ur forks or bars just a really good suggestion do the exact same thing but when ur gonna dry the let them dry for a short period of time then put them in an oven iam serious man sets the paint so good but not to long the paint will dry out and crack if u do

buy a can of paint stripper, like $12 from repco, some 1200 grit after that, then go to your local panal beaters and pick a colour in there paint charts and they should spray it fror about $60-70. you get a perfect finish with no runs and cause you picked the colour no-one else is gonna have it.
or if your not trendy or your broke then do wat those guys said, im just lazy lol

take some sandpaper and scratch up the frame so paint will stick, u can primer it if u want, if u have a beam or something u can run string through headtube and hang it, paint then clearcoat but let the paint dry between layers
