7/28/2012 4:52 PM

Cheers folks

@kim - The frame is nice, perfect size for me. It's actually my first bmx in about 6 years, traded it for a 26" NS Traffic and then changed a few things to make it my bike. Feels good to be back on 20" wheels again.

@keiron - yup, good old Broadhill

Thanks. I prefer the bars at that height and don't want to cut the steerer.

7/28/2012 8:14 PM

Sweet bike man! I had an 88 Mongoose Californian Pro that was all chrome w black rims. You just made me miss that bike. Really nice!

Thanks dudes.

Was thinking about a red stem actually.

I'll get some close ups of the Uniteds later, on my phone right now. They're nice tyres, very grippy and feel like basket balls at 80psi. I do think they might wear quickly though, seem quite soft but only time will tell. One thing that bugs me is the quality control isn't too hot on them, the white walls aren't very neat.

I remember the old chrome Mongoose Pro bikes! Think I had a Raleigh Burner at the time

Really making me want a chrome bike again, but not gonna spend 700 on a S&M frame all chromed out. Although a chrome dirt bike would be sweet!

7/30/2012 1:27 AM

@Brokenbmx - Tire shots added for your viewing pleasure

@Chuck8273 - Do it man! Can never have too many bikes and it's always good fun building them up.

@SIRE & SuperstarDK - Cheers dudes

Only thing I'm going to change now is swap the rear female axle for a 14mm cromo one, then it's 100% done.

7/30/2012 1:34 AM

that looks amazing perfect amount of red without overdoing it

7/30/2012 6:33 AM

soooooo nice,that first picture looked really good for some reason haha. how does the sputnic wall hold up?im about to order one with a rewind hub ,and theyre rims are the only thing ive never learned anything about

@theprophet - Thanks mang

@Tha Carnie - Cheers dude. The first pic had the sun setting behind, which reflected off the rims making them glow a bit!

I can't give you a long term review but the Sputnic rims seem decent from what I've done on them so far. Since I've had the bike I've been re-learning a bunch of spin tricks so the back wheel has been taking a bit of a beating and seems to be holing up ok. Only had to get it trued once but that was down to loose spokes. It's straightened perfectly though. The paintwork is chipped to fuck on them however (I think the previous owner must have rode a lot on on gravel), but strength-wise they certainly seem up to the task and I don't think I'd have a problem buying them again in the future.

7/30/2012 7:17 AM

i gotta learn to take pictures like that haha , but thanks manim puttin 1 on the front hopefully onlything that sucks is by the time i go to get a back wheel theyll probably be all gone and never match ,and is the BSD stickers on the front all seperate?

Follow me on Instagram, i follow back : N3gativecr33p

7/30/2012 7:32 AM

Haha, thanks. I'm better with the camera than I am with the bike these days!

If you're buying from an actual shop then you should ask if they'll let you put a deposit on the back wheel. If not then you should be able to find a matching one online at a later date.

Yah man, it's 3 separate stickers. I just lined them all up with the "S" so they'd be symmetrical

7/30/2012 12:35 PM

Shining!
