Quite A Few Companies Are Doing This Now! It's To "Pass On Savings" Basically If You Don't Use Brakes, You Don't Pay Extra For Mounts You'll Never Use, But If You DO.... Tough Titties, Pay Extra!

My fit wifi was supposed to be sent without them, but the guy sent me them, pretty cool even tho i dont run brakes.

Should have bought a t-1 ruben on sale with the fly dylan mounts, best system in my opinion.

3/26/2014 2:31 PM

strange statement to make a t1 on sale is still expensive

Federal does this. Makes sense ; so many people are brakeless why use money on pointless hardware. On the otherhand , why pay extra for a part that should be including with your frame?

Bmx is far from expensive.

That would make sense, except for the fact that Frames like this aren't any cheaper than they were before.

3/27/2014 3:30 AM

Nothing out of the ordinary, that's why if somethings on sale I'll always ask if it comes with what it's usually suppose to come with especially when it comes to buying a new frame.

That's definitely not a warranty issue, when warranty needs to be involved it has to do with a problem with the products manufacturing process which hinders you from using it.

It's just that they either forgot to include them which isn't a big deal or they are doing the frame without mounts as the price would be cheaper just like Flybikes are doing the same thing.

Agreed, cleanest looking and works great same as Total's system and a few others, its basically exactly the same except the mount housing is external where'as Dylan's are ground smooth to the surface of the chainstays or seatstay's, much cleaner looking if going brakeless that's for sure.

It depends, if you are a kid it is, if you compare it to any other bike discipline is really cheap, like some good dh fork are 600+, or a frame for 1000+.

This. Bmx racing is even way more expensive if your competing in pro divisions and if you dont buy the best stuff youll be trailing the pack.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but didn't amity go out of business in the summer? http://thecomeup.com/news/rip-amity-bike-co/
And yes it is completely normal to not have brake mounts included. Brakes can get expensive, but so can replacing shoes every month. Up to you, haha.

BMX is extremely expensive. You could build up a top-of-the-line skateboard at Zumiez for less money than it takes to get a decent rear wheel.

You know what my bike's name is? Bike.

They were started up by a company with no experience with bicycles at all and pretty much everyone I know that owned Amity parts hated them. They reason they don't exist anymore is not because they went bankrupt but because they decided to concentrate on making low-end bikes and overpriced mini bikes.

its not dude, even less in usa. If you think about it a skate is made of wood and plastic, and the truck that are metal. A bike is made by gum and metal.
What is really expensive is DH, Road bikes and MTB, one good bike of any of those can go over 5000euro.

Ah hell, mountain bikes make BMX bike prices look like Walmart clearance prices lol.
