What happened to the days where all you had to do was ride a bike and you were cool with everyone. When a kid needed help bunnyhoping and you stopped for 3 damn seconds to explain "using your legs, not just your arms". Man what happened to the days of just fuckin with god damn woodpushers? (jk most the kids i ride with are skaters and thier cool).
-Stop the shit-talking, you dont even know each other.
-Stop abusing the threads and just calling people out.
-Respect the old-dogs who have been riding before we were born and actually take thier advice
-Respect someones style. No matter how crazy (or stupid) it is.
-Help the young/new guy.
-Don't take things so personally.
-Have fun and just ride your bike. thats what BMX is all about
feel free to add anything if i missed it. BUT DONT CALL ANYONE OUT FOR I SWEAR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN, KILL YOUR PET HAMSTER, DUCT TAPE YOU TO A POLE BACKWARDS, NAKED, HAVE PISSED OFF IGUANAS BITE DOWN ON YOUR NIPPLES AND LAUGH/ TAKE PICTURES/BURN YOU WITH A SAUDERING IRON WHILE A GROUP OF GYPSY PERUVIAN MIDGETS HAVE THIER WAY WITH YOU UNTIL YOU PASS OUT. ya. its like my cinco di mayo in guatilahara all over again...
Could not have said it better. I am guilty of hating on certain people, usually because they hate on someone else for no reason.
This is pretty much the best post on here, and a version of it usually gets posted every couple of weeks. Most kids agree, then a few days later toss it aside to rip the new kid who claims he is BMX God a new asshole, all the while reaming some random kid asking a simple question as well.
Hence my signature, "When you take riding in it's purest form, we are all the same." Some people have commented that it is true, and they go rip a kid a new one for asking something that is kinda common sense, but not without being in BMX for a while...
You will never get rid of the shit talk, hating, and other issues that are irritating, because there will always be some new kid who thinks he is the only rider in the world who knows anything (usually put in his place a week or two later), and some other guy who is just an internet badass-type who gets his jollies for ripping on someone, just to make his dismal life seem a little less bad.
I applaud the post though, people like you are needed on sites like this, who will be more mature about it, and generally make this site a little better.
