Been talking to Burns and I have gotten some information from him that could be useful to some on here. Posting it up now

Hey buddy its burns,

The porn hub only comes in 9 tooth driver.

We dont have any plans as of yet to make a 10 tooth driver.

To be honest im not sure about the C-clip. our buddy greg helped us design the wheel. ill ask him and get back to you.

The deadman v1s.... compared to v2s. huge difference. the v2s are double thick tubing and have a deeper swedge at the bottom for strength, The v1's are sold out though.

We will have everything stocked for definite within the next 10 days. i dont have an exact date because the stuff is coming in on a boat to florida.

I will for surely let you know as soon as it comes in!

thanks man

C-Clip for a spring just like Odyssey Hazard right?

C-Clip + 48 holes = best hub ever!

That's like a joytech hub with 48 holes.

Super strong!!!

Go get em boys!!!

I remember at interbike they showed the pornhub box with a list of its specs including something along the lines of "4 pawl, 4 spring", so c-clip is unlikely unless they changed the design since then. C-clips are shit.

Spec/shape-wise its really similar to a Primo Mix so I wouldn't be surprised if a Primo/Profile 10t would fit it. May be worth messing with?

Primo Mix is the same as the Cult Match hub (basically) so does that mean the driver from a Match hub may fit it too?

Dont take my word for it, im just judging by looks/specs. I know Profile drivers fit in Primo/Cult hubs (but not the other way around). I wouldn't be surprised if it did work, but theres only one way to find out, so maybe if somebody has a Cult/Primo/Profile hub and retires it for a pornhub, they can attempt to swap it out and let us know.

Primo Mix IS the exact same as the Cult Match cassette, aside from logos, so yes the driver will also fit assuming the Primo driver would fit the Bonedeth.

Well in Tim's defense, they are inferior. And from personal experience they haven't been too good for me either. I've ridden 3 different C clip style hubs and 2/3 of them slipped a lot, the one actually stopped engaging altogether randomly, not gradually go from small popping/cracking noises while slipping, but fully slipping up to half a crank & making horrible noises. The one that didn't skip I only had for about a month so idk if it would have.

BUT, I also know several people riding C clip style hubs and they don't have issues like that, a skip once in a blue moon but that's not bad

Hit or miss really.

It's kinda like Eastern haters. If you've had a ton of problems you can talk shit all you want, but most people that say negative things either have no experience with the products or at least no negative experiences.

Yeah this is pretty true. I've had crap with easterns and C-Clips but C-Clips are still awesome but you can have problems with wither form of springs, it all depends on your luck

Well, majority of my opinion comes from other peoples C-clips I worked on. Lose springyness and slip, broken spring, cassette stops making sound, stop engaging, basically everything Sunday said. I have ran multiple C-clips myself and although they weren't as bad as my friends, they were a hassle to work with and broke easily and finding a replacement wasn't easy. I feel like it slipped 75% of the times I gave it a real hard crank.

The Tree is not a shitty hub, I personally wouldnt run it as my first choice due to the C-clip, but everything else is spot on. Interested to see if my theory of their leaf spring / ezra style coaster v4 hub is true.

All in all I think C-clips are just outdated and unreasonably hard to work with.

It's kinda like Eastern haters. If you've had a ton of problems you can talk shit all you want, but most people that say negative things either have no experience with the products or at least no negative experiences.
