hard to stop? well maybe y if you are riding bare foot

pros: better look
no worry's about adjusting or changing brakes
less disturbing noises
less weight well for weight maniacs
brake cable won't get caught up
cheaper (well i f you dont mind messing up your kicks)
more control

cons: mmm messing up your new kicks S:

There is absolutely no advantage to riding brakeless , however, its a feel thing. My brake cable broke some time ago and I never got around to replacing it. 6 months later and I am still brakeless. Even removed the brake bosses. I like the feel of no brakes and you cant cheat when doing manuals etc, Its really good for your balance if nothing else. Try a tyre tap brakeless to see what I mean. Or manual without those pesky brakes. Again its just a matter of opinion. I did not "get it" till I rode for a week without them. Now I love it. The good thing is you can always put brakes back on if you don't like it. Well I cant but thats another story.

in my opinion the only advantages no brakes gives you is it looks better, and you cant bitch out when trying a trick, like if your goin up to do a rail, you have to do it, theres no way to stop or your fucked

I shred no brakes because...

1. They get pricey if you want legit brakes
2.Only work if you know what your doing or else they're worthless
3.They're a pain to assemble whether you know how to dial them or not.
4. Im lazy

it depends on your style, feel, and what tricks you are doing. i am going to ride straight cable soon because i like the feel, i am more comfortable trying new tricks, and i personally like the look, but it truthfully all depends on the rider

riding brakeless gives you all kinds of bike control if you ride tranny or trails because it's forces you to learn how to pump perfectly. however you cant do fufanus or abubacas un less you use your feet. (which I think Look stupid... i.e. jeremiah smith's shoefanus)

brake riders are not fags, there just people who know how to use them for tricks such as abubacas, fufanus, lawnmowers, tire taps, and other tricks.

I love riding brakes, and I love riding brakeless. Its definatly a fun change to do every once in a while. Riding brakeless definatly improves your manual/ icepick/barspins, but I always find myself missing brake tricks. They are both fun Smile
