New respect for skaters

Being bikeless I started filming with a board and today I got my first real line with it, and fuck is it hard
Can't turn easily, can't lose speed as fast, and it's extremely easy to lose balance so those who know me know I don't care for skating but just saying I have respect for them now, also I don't care if you guys can skate and it's "actually easier than biking" to you, I just don't

Anyways here's the clip that will never be used so you guys can at least see how bad I am at it

You'll get better with experience. Being a filmer, I'd be more worried about all the noise it makes. Especially being closer to the camera than anything else, it kinda drowns out other sounds. Get some fat cruiser wheels.. any cheap set will do. You'll be creeping like you're not even there. Or better yet, invest in a Penny board.(the 'Nickel' version) They steer super tight and smooth compared to a regular skateboard.

You didn't have respect for the skaters in the first place?

I still skate and i believe they are just as hard as each other. but in other areas.
I've always had respect for either, just never scooters

This but a Nickel Board are still pretty short and unresponsive. I'd much rather invest in a longerboard. Noooo they're not all the same , I know Landyactz or whatever made a line of boards that were for cruising with alot of foot room , but still compact and responsive. That'd be PERFECT if you're serious about filming because it's fast with great bearings and awesome for stability

Love skating, cruiser board or a regular skateboard with cruiser wheels would be fine

Yeahhh.. I'm just biased because I can do some rad shit on my penny lol. I wouldn't mind filming on one, but there are better options I guess. Foot room probably the main thing to consider. Landyachtz makes some sexy boards indeed, pricey but dope.

I suggest slightly looser trucks when skate-filming. Better turning. I also suggest skating a bunch to get comfortable on the board.

I am sick and tired of the "cliques" that this sport has recently developed. We should embrace the fact that we all ride a little kids bike, and not worry about the small details. When you take riding in its most basic form, we are all the same.
