Hey, well I wanted to paint my fork, and I am going to do that, I know how to take the stem and such off, but is it easy as just sliding it out? or do I have to take a rubber mallet to it?

it should just slide out, if not just lift the frame and push the top of the fork with your hand, it should go pretty easy! take the head set off first, they sometimes hold it on.

i say take off the stem and bars and front wheel. im not sure what kind of headset you have but they can be a mess espeically if its unsealed so i say tape up the headset and some of the frame so you dont get paint on them, instead of taking it all apart.
