so for the landings is it best to actually dig into the ground? thats how a lot of trails are, just because it makes you not have to build up so high, and you get a lot of dirt out of it by there being a pit in between the jumps. its a lot of extra work to dig and haul all the dirt from another hole.

9/6/2009 2:38 PM i found some sick trials, there's like a 20 foot start and 20 foot wide concrete start with like a thing to stop cars and like wheel things idk why.. most of the good ones out over grown, i saw some overgrown lips what would have been sick .
i done one it was like a bank down going up to a vertical table, i just rode at it and i got like 2-3 foot i was not expecting that. pritty scary shit as i was going far aswell and theres a bank with nettles then a river 5m away lol. r.i.p stewart.

Also if you can safe guard your trails by chaining off sections with lock and key so that no one can ride without being one of the main builders you can prevent novices from falling, getting hurt and giving township/property owners grounds for plowing them over someones stupid mistake.

how do you make drainage pits? dig a hole off to the side of your pit that runs down hill, dig a little trench out a few feet though that way water doesnt jut back up into it really quickly too.

what? did you say you cant make a landing, because the dirt is too hard? keep digging, oh, just pack down the jump more, and it wont crumble yh the roots our their and the mud is like rock i can get a few inches thats it.. next to it ah uge tree has fallen and its lifted up so theirs a hole i dig out of that
