any tips for riding trails?
go fast, pull up. nose in to every landing. you can pull your brakes mid air to help you get nose in.

10/11/2009 4:06 PM what are those mats that some people put on their landings?

10/11/2009 6:42 PM Usually their just old pieces of carpet. It keeps the landings from getting destroyed every time you ride. Unfortunatley some douches like to take them off and put them in wet pits so they can ride when its wet... Ill let you draw your own conclusions on how I feel about that...

you can start building on raining season, or you could also put a big bucket or drums to collect water from the rain, or you could just dig a big hole as reservoirs....

10/21/2009 4:57 PM Hey . me and my friends are gonna start building jumps in the desert/ dirt lot behind my house. Theres a crapload of stickers/glass. i myself dont know how to make dirt jumps all that good but a couple of my friends do. i Really like the feeling of working on something like dirt jumps and having fun. its a great feeling. any further advice on how i should start building and what kind of jumps i could make? i want some regular kind, a hip, and a tabletop. How should i build a berm? thanks

10/21/2009 5:41 PM berms usually take up twice as much dirt as you think they would. always build them high and make sure the shape isin't kinked because a kinked berm will not be fun also that dirt sounds like shit. no sand, no glass, water. thats what you need

soil and dirt: soil is different to dirt and dirt is what u want to make good trails not soil it just crumples and falls apart dirt is usually light browny orange colour soil is dark browny black colour soil= good for nannys gardens dirt= good for all us bmxers' trails sand= good for ur backyard sandbox |

10/22/2009 12:34 AM actually dirt goes on your shirt and soil is on the ground (learned this in environmental class) but soil is classified into three different elements sand, silt, and clay. sand has the largest particles and thus is hardest to hold together while clay has the smallest particles which makes it turn rock hard when dry. silt is black decomposed organic matter that has various sizes of particles that usually pack good wet and blows away when dry. all three of these elements come together in various percentages that contain some of the best and worst dirt jumping materials.

11/9/2009 1:12 PM thats what most people do to get the dirt they need to make berms but this method is harder than just piling it up because the line is really hard to change up if you get it wrong the first time.
