Your Favorite BMX Rider Other Than Yourself?

6/17/2014 9:58 AM

He/She doesn't have to be professional.

Why are they your favorite?

What is the first video/first time you saw them?

Do they have anything to do with how you ride today?

Mine has to be Seamus Mckeon, maybe Bruno Hoffman, or Chase Hawk.

Garrett will always be my inspiration and idol because his Nike 6.0 part got me into BMXing , plus his riding says it for itself. Seems like a chill , respectful guy.

As for not professionals , anyone who likes to ride. I don't care if you're good or not. But if you enjoy biking , have fun and are a good person , I get inspired off people like that.

This^^ one of my fave LFF riders for sure.

Freestyle is the answer to everything --
a fresh way to approach a dull or a
dangerous thing.
to do a dull thing with style
is preferable to doing a dangerous thing
without it.

Sean Burns or Josh Stricker. They both were the ones that got me really into bmx.

They were/are my favorite because of their fast past riding, Both don't really seem to have a large back of tricks put into their edits either, it's more so the style and how/where they place the tricks that gets me excited to go out and ride when i should be sleeping.

Saw Josh Stricker in the primo nice try video first then the S&M I want to live. both were amazing to watch.
Sean Burns was His Anthem II part. Was just soo amazing to watch and hard to watch at the same time. At that point he became my go to rider to get hyped.

Do they have anything to do with how you ride today?
Both of them very much. Burns was the reason why I first decided to run pegs and Josh basically made me see something like a small lift in the concrete down a hill and just want to pedal fast as i can at it and send it just for fun

Favorite non pro is my good friend Lester Spottswood. So great to watch and super flowy, he can ride anything and is a really nice down to earth kind of guy. Gave me tips when i was starting off and was where i saw Josh Stricker first when he gave me a Ride BMX mag from 2006 (think it was the Issue from January) With jush stricker on the cover with "live fast, ride faster" printed on it.
It's also his birthday today so i hope to see him.

Some photos of him too

6/17/2014 6:41 PM

Back in myspace days i came across a bmx edit on myspace videos this was around 07. It was a Steven Hamilton edit for Animal bikes. His bizarre riding style and his flatland frame inspired me to ride.

Steven Hamilton
Sean Burns
Chase Dehart
Edwin D
Tom White

6/17/2014 7:19 PM

Well Zach K, Eric L, and all the peg less guys all influence my riding to a degree so them.
Broc Raiford and Garrett Reynolds because they genuinely seem like good people
Some of the other dudes are Roey, George Boyd, trey jones, and and randy Taylor

Honestly? Who gives a shit. Its the fucking internet. I hate all of you equally.

Stevie Churchill is my favorite and Brandon begin is #2

Their new OSS edits really impressed me, and I'm inspired by their riding style .

Stevie's edit inspired me to 3 down some loading docks and Brandon's made me want to halfcab off of a huge drop at the local park. I did the 3 and I'm trying the half cab tomorrow

6/17/2014 9:11 PM

Dennis Enarson. He's a versatile rider, and kills whatever he rides. Park, dirt, street. Seems super chill too.

6/17/2014 10:55 PM

Definitely complete street beasts like Stevie Churchill and Garrett Reynolds. And for freecoasters, I'd definitely pick Brandon Begin as technical and Shane Weston; both of whom have been riding FC's originally before the huge trend hit. I'm not really into dirt, vert, strict park, or pegless riding; just doesn't fit my comfortable zone. As for other riders, I know Tanner Easterla locally and he's a goofy-footed master. There's also this Youtube kid named Aaron Wong under the user Cab4kw2; he's like 2-3 years younger and has started grinding handrails and gets real tech with this spins both ways. He literally pulled a 180 to 720 cab to 540 cab. LIKE WTF. And I'm here still practicing manual 180's and full cabs on flat ground.. -_____- He's only like an extra half year or year difference from my riding. And everyone else who's started after me has gotten to around my level or better. It's fucking depressing as shit.

Most up-to-date/latest bike check.

Tom Dugan

He goes fast at everything, he is a very dialed rider with style for days.

Aaron Ross and Tom Dugan in Korea

Watching Dugan edits gets me motivated.

I'm gonna need bigger bars

6/18/2014 9:21 AM

Too many to list. Burns, Nyquist, Elstran, Fernengel, Smillie, Dak, blah, blah, blah....

6/18/2014 12:23 PM

I like both riding and the attitude they show of Roche, Churchill, Martinez, Dehart, Reynolds, Ross... And many others. I really enjoy the stuff filmed for cult, subrosa, animal, etnies, odyssey, fit. Great dudes all of ´em.

6/18/2014 12:36 PM

Clint Reynolds
Craig Passero
Kriss Kyle
Charlie Crumlish

Yes, but people just do it anyways though, i prefer not to break the law that way. haha Too risky.

6/18/2014 3:27 PM

Mines gotta be Eddie Fiola, The first time I saw him walking the moon I was sold lol

6/19/2014 8:55 AM

I've been watching the Killjoy DVD online & I have a new found respect for Cam Wood & If Matt Beringer had Long Hair & a beard I'd be 110% certain He was a Wizard!

6/19/2014 11:17 PM

Gotta be Kriss Kyle, kills it on absolutely everything with a great style and unique tricks, close joint second for Garrett Reynolds and Harry Main as they are the two guys who first got me into bmx
