you didn't know you could do that? If the bolt ever strips but the nut is ok you can replace the bolt with one for mounting brakes too

I'm on the vital legit list!

Yea I had trouble finding finding a skinny one to fit my bike.I had 5 options before I had to resort to the huffy brake lever.yea the ones to mount the brake are too fat for my verde .the guy that it before had a cappy nut crappy screw type phillips head it wasnt the original one.im stoked now.

I always save bolts like these, especially like these ones with the extra nut at the end. You'll never know when you might over tighten one day or strip a bolt or something.

Sorry to get back on topic, but if you find a store that has stainless steel fasteners, those are harder to strip and don't rust. They are also stronger than normal steel fasteners.

When you need one bolt, buy like 4 of them because they are like 30 cents each.

I am sick and tired of the "cliques" that this sport has recently developed. We should embrace the fact that we all ride a little kids bike, and not worry about the small details. When you take riding in its most basic form, we are all the same.

if you dont have a big selection at a store, get a shitton for cheap from mcmastercarr, its where ive gotten everything from bearings to stem bolts for a heck of a lot cheaper than what you can find on danscomp
