how much thicker is the fit faf 2.30 than the 2.25?

About .05 inches wider... oh wait, you mean thick as in how thick is the rubber on the tire? It's most likely the same thickness as the 2.25.

and .9 oz heavier (NOTHING)

And since that didn't answer the question, look at getskyhigh above my first post, I don;t know much about the FAF tires besides the 2.10, which goes bald quickly.

I'm curious as to how you came to the conclusion that the bigger tire is lighter. Did you take out your scale and weigh it? Because if you're saying it's lighter because it only feels lighter, there's a whole host of problems with that.

i weighed it when i bought it the guy was saying its lighter and shit so i weighed the 2.30 and the 2.25 and the 2.30 came in lighter

I tell you what, I run the Fit FAF 2.30 tire in the front, and a 2.10 in the rear. I was very dissapointed when I put them on. I wish I had got the 2.25. They roll very fast, but when I put my shadow 2.25 up to the 2.30 fit, it looks way smaller. Same with the 2.10 fit compared to my shadow 2.10. Looks like a 1.95 tire compared to the shadow. Like some of you said has to do with the raised tread of the more aggresive tires. The 2.30 is still a pretty wide ass tire for street. It may seem smaller in width to my shadow, but it is not as low of profile as the Shadow 2.25. I don't know what the companies use for a standard when making different size tires. Tread pattern plays a roll, but all I know is when I take a Shadow belter 2.10 tire , a Odyssey 2.10 elem street tire, and a Fit FAF tire 2.10, they are all different sizes. In that order, Shadow being the widest. Just has to do with the aggresiveness of the tread.

Dude 2.25 trust me. The tread is different on the 2.3 and it wears faster.
