5/11/2008 5:36 PM support the sprocket between 2 blocks of wood or something similar, then insert a wooden dowel or something slightly smaller than the spindle and pound the spindle down and out.
Try not to ding up the spindle. |

5/13/2008 9:32 PM You need to support the sprocket as close to the spindle as you can, with the spindle dangling free, so you can hit it down and out from the arm. A vice might work if you have one big enough, open the jaws so the spindle dangles between them then hit it.
Try using a wooden dowel or something similar to minimize damage to the end of the spindle. ![]() |
