The important thing is that you're catching front foot. You need to take your focus off of the front foot for a while now. start trying to place that back foot over the frame before anything hits the ground. If that means you look like a frog in the air for a while, so be it.

When I was learning tailwhips, I would land them between my legs EVERY TIME perfectly... but I just wouldn't put my feet on.... that was for about a year. The problem is muscle memory. You've gotten so used to your leg getting \"stuck\" that that's all you can do. So, you've gotta change everything up. That means hands, too.

If you throw kind of a flat spin, try and tweak it (pull it up, then back down into you). If you don't use your arms at all, start using them. Throw your whips faster, or slower. Anything you can do to break your current muscle memory patterns, but not sacrifice your chances of landing the trick.

Once you start getting it under you, then focus on that front foot. It sounds like you throw your whips INTO your front foot. If so, you got it easy. Throw your whip around, and it simply comes into your front foot, and with you back foot OUT OF THE WAY, you can place your feet on one after the other, like walking back onto the pedals.

Two more things.... once you start catching them, you won't stop.... they get easier and easier. Once you start catching them before you or your bike hit the ground, don't let it throw you off. The way I learned to catch them in the air was by throwing it a little faster, and actually letting it smack into the leg that I catch it with. This is for in-flight confirmation that it is where I think it is, without having to quickly, and nervously look down at it.

Have fun with them, they're like crack... look at Cranmer. ( he's a junky )

dont go that fast, put your foot where youre front tire meets the fork put one foot on the toptube and when u are in the air just kick your frame away and if you did it right youre frame will do a 360 and land back on the bike
