What the fuck are we gonna do. All of our indoor parks are closing and the ones that are still up look down upon bikers. Where do you guys ride? And who wants to hook up and go ride austin texas with me this winter?

3rd in GV is fun as hell, and they allow bikes in all sessions now. The decent summer kicked their ass financially. showcase might close, but if they get a good surge of business they could stay open. 3rd also has a place in burnsville which I hear is kinda fun, better than nothing at all like the guys way up in northern MN...

Oh and midwestrider, you just gotta man up, wear layers, glove it and tough out the weather as much as possible. being all worried and complaining gets you nothing.

What other parks frown upon bikers? 3rd GV was the only real place with issues out of the last 10 years ive been riding...showcase basically caters to us, ollie loved bike nights cause it was packed, same with renegade. Try going to mankato, they have indoor and outdoor parks, and 1 dollar wednesdays (i think its still going...)

showcase and renegade are both great, burnsville 3rd lair is fun but not the greatest, havent been to GV 3rd ever. and now thats its bikes at all times i might be able to have a chance at going to a session. and do what me and dave do. put on some warm gloves, and thick hoody or nice coat, maybe a warm pair of socks, and be really dedicated. look at Tom Haugen, he rode all year round, lots of days in his backyard and street infront of his place even in winter, now he goes to x-games and tours with other great riders.

I hear renegade is gone now. Sad really...Go to mankato. It is about 45 min to an hour sw of the burnsville area, take 169 right into town. It's fun.

Yea man. There are talks of them getting rid of the wood outdoor stuff and building a concrete park out there.

Pick a warmer day with no wind and shovel off your local park. I've been doing it for about 66 years now. Yea most free parks suck but get like 4 guys shoveling then riding and its a blast. (Plus most skaters are winter weather weenies, won't go in the cold to skate...)

well this is basically dead. but i really just started riding last spring. never had to tough it out in the winter but im down for it. oh and by being looked down upon.. 3rd lair of bville is the perfect example. like 2 bike sessions a week and if its too busy they wont let you in.

Possibly, I am going to see if I can get a couple buddies to go with to share gas costs etc. If ya see a guy on a blaze orange bike with a white macniel seat and a gyro, that's probably me.

3rd lair golden Valley is pretty good, indoor park- www.3rdlair.com

Showcase Skatepark in rogers, indoor park - www.showcaseskatepark.com

Ride street in Minneapolis, lost of good stuff along Nicollet mall, and U of M campus. Be aware, I think it is Homecoming, so the drunks will be out and harassing everyone.
