Some slow-mo

1/31/2012 11:01 AM

I hope you guys don't mind the fact that it's an MTB video. Just give it a look.

Sick bro, is that you riding?

2/8/2012 9:37 AM

The rider is a friend of mine. I was the one to film and put it together.

2/8/2012 11:27 AM

Ohh your buddies good! How long has he been riding for?

2/8/2012 11:38 AM

He's been riding for about a year and a half, I think. Or two and a half, can't remember.
The tricks in this video are quite random, just wanted to try out the camera. Will definitely make a proper edit in the summer.

Did you add a burn or darken to your video? It sort of looks like it was recorded off of a tv...

The video is allready dark the burn filter just makes it darker.

I added the filter, that gives it those dark corners (it has some stupid name, can't remember) and it made the whole video darker. Doesn't look too dark in my opinion.

I use Final Cut Pro X. When you have slowed down the clip in Final Cut, then you have to choose Optical flow. It's somewhere in the same menu as slow-mo and speed up. It creates artificial frames so that the framerate stays the same.
If your school has any older version of Final Cut Pro, then you need Twixtor to create these flowing slow-mo clips.
