premier pro and after effects cs4.
and if your wanna really get into it, photoshop cs4 and illustrator cs4, make up some vectors then turn them into motion graphics in after effects.
check out videocopilot.net for after effects tutorials.

sony vegas pro 9 is also a pretty good option, thats what i use
and its like reaaalllyyy easy
premiere and after affects are pretty hard to use if your just starting

If you have a PC, Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects or Sony Vegas are good. But, if you have a Mac, Final Cut is the way to go.
